FEATURING THE SINGLES ‘NAZARETH’, ‘PRAYERS’ AND ‘ANOTHER YEAR’
LISTEN TO FOCUS TRACK ‘SET HER FREE‘
EU TOUR NOW ON SALE
In honour of her hometown, Lana Lubany releases her new EP YAFA today – a six-track collection of alt-pop mastery. The EP blends intricate production with Arabic-inspired beats, formidable vocals, and dual-language delivery, establishing her as an inimitable new force in the music landscape. The London-based Palestinian and American artist has worked with her close collaborator and producer Ben Thomson on the project, which features the previously released singles ‘NAZARETH’, ‘PRAYERS’ and ‘ANOTHER YEAR’, plus three brand new songs including the focus single, ‘SET HER FREE’.
Speaking about the EP, Lana says, “‘YAFA’, named after my hometown, incorporates pieces of my upbringing and experiences that have shaped who I am today. It explores identity and belonging in an environment where you don’t always feel welcome. I’ve always felt like I was in between worlds – an outsider. After having finally accepted my own identity, I was met with yet another struggle to gain acceptance from the world. While navigating these obstacles, music has been my healing point, where I felt like I could fully be myself. ‘YAFA’ the project is a safe space for the in-betweeners and beyond.”
Lana Lubany has toured Europe with Saint Levant, and more recently played as main support to The Last Dinner Party on their sold-out tour earlier this year, before wowing crowds at her own sold-out headline London show in March. She was recently profiled via NME’s esteemed The Cover feature and received a glowing write-up from the Recording Academy on GRAMMY.com. Lana will be embarking on a headline tour of her own across Europe next month, which includes a show at London’s Oslo on 3rd December. Full date listings as follows:

In 2023, Lana Lubany released her concept project THE HOLY LAND; an eight track EP that represents her personal and creative exploration into a journey of self discovery. Sonically, it’s a diverse offering of oscillating rhythms, big beats, and her trademark middle eastern flair, with Lubany’s remarkable vocal range always front and centre. Each of the singles have become viral sensations that have amassed tens of millions of plays and put Lana’s name firmly on the map. She was previously included in The Guardian’s Artists to Watch in 2023 and NME 100, and counts Pitchfork, NME, The FADER, GRAMMY.COM, Rolling Stone UK, Clash, Hunger, NYLON, Polyester Zine, DIY, Crack Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, The Forty-Five, Monocle, MusicWeek, Sunday Times and Notion amongst her ever-growing list of supporters.
Throughout her music, Lana is intent on nurturing the fanbase she’s cultivated, exposing people to new sounds whilst letting people in on her individual journey of identity and culture exploration. Choosing to sing in two tongues right now (English and Arabic), Lana Lubany wants to be an artist that transcends just one idea, with the power to create whatever feels right at the time.
