NBH FESTIVAL 2022

The well acclaimed Manchester festival has returned with noise to make, squeezing all the best artists across the UK into a packed day of outstanding music . Over one hundred artists took over the much loved venues of Manchester City to put on a monumental show.

Queues lined the street for the start of the festival, music lovers eager to grab their tickets and rush off to see their favourite artists. Spirits were high while the sun gave us plenty of hope for a positive day of live music.

High energy bands Like ’Stone’ and ’The Skinner Brothers’ got crowds bouncing around each venue like no others. Even after an already busy day of performances, their fans still showed up with pure enthusiasm. The Skinner Brothers’ usual mosh pits and crowd surfing did not fail to disappoint today, nobody was caught still in “Gorilla” during this extremely lively set.

Special guests this year The Lathums owned their stage at Manchester Academy. Devoted fans were fixated on the wigan band while each song kept the energy at 100%. They start off with the much loved track ‘Fight On’ and throws everyone into a singing frenzy. There was no rest until they walked off stage for fans as they sang back each powerful and uplifting tune.

This had been my first chance to catch Sundara Karma live and there was no better opportunity than headlining a much loved festival. 02 Ritz was filled with excited chanting and shouting ready for them to start. They bounced on stage ready to put on a show for the eager crowd and wasted no time to jump into the set. ‘Kill Me’ got everyone moving and jumping and there was no change for the remainder of the show. fan favourites ‘Flame’ and ’She Said’ got the crowd riled up and nobody could keep themselves from dancing around the venue.

As the day moved along, anticipation grew for the main event. A queue started to build up outside The Albert Hall for a fitting end to the night. This was the reason so many people had made their way into Manchester today and we couldn’t wait any longer to hear them.

The Snuts had made their way from Scotland to headline tonight’s festival and have attracted an impressive crowd to The Albert Hall. After a battle with their record label to release their album early, ‘Burn The Empire’ is finally out and we were all ready to shout out their new lyrics. One of these fresh songs ‘Pigeons in New York’ kicked off their set. Although only released the day before, each and every fan belted out all of  the words. They continued through the set with energy and powerful messages of pulling together. ’Somebody Loves You’ somewhat slowed the pace but none of the enthusiasm was lost. Lead singer Jack entertaIned the crowd all night, jumping onto speakers and kept the crowd engaged with his dynamism.

I don’t think anyone was ready for their set to finish at all. The Snuts walked off stage, proud I’m sure of a memorable performance. The street was crammed with people buzzing off an unforgettable experience.
