Jamie T stopped off at Hangar 34 for a very special intimate acoustic show in support of his brand new album ”The Theory Of Whatever” curtsey of Jacaranda Records.

Jamie Alexander Treays, better known by his stage name “Jamie T” is an English singer, songwriter, rapper, guitarist and record producer from Wimbledon, South London.

Jamie T released his debut album Panic Prevention in 2007. His second studio album “Kings and Queens” followed in 2009.His third studio album “Carry on the Grudge”in 2014 and then a fourth studio album “Trick” in 2016. “The Theory Of Whatever” is his fifth studio album was released last month (July 2022).

It’s this new studio album that Jamie T fans have been looking forward to getting their hands on and listening to that these small gigs are in support of. Tonight’s gig is the second of two gigs he is playing at Hanger 34, Liverpool the first having taken place as a matinée performance in the late afternoon.

It’s a very warm early evening as we turn up at tonight’s venue the popular Hanger 34 in the heart of Liverpool’s creative hub The Baltic Triangle and already (an hour before Jamie T is due on stage) a queue has formed outside the venue.

Once inside it’s pretty clear to see, that although this is billed as a solo acoustic and intimate gig and probably being used as a warm up for his forthcoming headline tour, a lot of his fans have turned up to see the main man.

The stage is sparsely set with a pure white spot-lit stool and acoustic guitar. We are going to see Jamie T The Artist alone and raw which is an exciting prospect.

At spot on 8pm the house lights dimmed alongside the music being played over the PA and on walked Jamie T to a great reception. Without little a do it was straight into his first song of the night “Brand New Bass Guitar” Jamies voice was perfect and his accompaniment to this song was just an acoustic Bass guitar which worked so well.

All through the set the crowd sang along to every single word of Jamies brilliant and cleaver lyrics, even at times taking over from Jamie himself and carrying the song on in their own right only for Jamie to take over just at the right spot in the song to make the whole experience something very special indeed.

It’s very clear to see that his fans love his songs and love the man himself the whole place was really rocking. If this is a Jamie T intimate gig I would love to see a full on, in ya face Jamie T gig. Who knows I may well see that in the near future when he takes his headline tour over the U.K.

During breaks in the songs on several occasions the crowd all chant in unison “Jamie Jamie Jamie Fuckin T” much to the delight of Jamie himself.

Stand out songs for us on the night were “Talk Is Cheap”, “If You Got The Money” and of course the two big ones everyone wanted to hear “Sticks And Stones” and finishing the night with “Zombie”

What a real pleasure it was to see an artist alone on stage open his talent up by playing and capturing the crowd with just a guitar, great songs and loads and loads of talent. All the best for your headline U.K. tour and we hope to catch you on that tour too Jamie T ………. Nice one.
