Live favourites Lambrini Girls share tongue-in-cheek video for single ‘White Van’ – a song about catcalling.

“This one goes out to all of the cis men with their d*ck out behind the wheel, screaming at us in the street without consequence. You’re an idiot and no one wants to f**k you”

The T-shirt worn by the white van man was a second hand Lambretta T-shirt subverted to say “Lambrini” – created by designer Karthur. It was imagined to upset the character to see the juxtaposition of his favourite brand T-shirt, mashed up into Lambrini Girls merch.

Based in Brighton, Phoebe Lunny (Vocals/Guitar – she/they) and Lilly Macieira (Bass – she/they) have a strong artistic bond over their creative common ground – hot button societal issues combined with a biting, tongue in cheek lyrical style all their own.

Recently the band were named as part of the NME 100, and to open for Iggy Pop for his Dog Day Afternoon at London’s Crystal Palace on 1st July. They’re also set for a huge list of live dates including their own headline tour in May/June, plus performances at Are You Listening?, The Great Escape, 2000 Trees, Truck Festival, Rebellion, and loads more.

Debut EP You’re Welcome is out 19th May 2023 via Big Scary Monsters, and contains previous single ‘Help Me I’m Gay’ which Phoebe used to come out to her mum, as well as ‘White Van’, other tracks include ‘Boys In The Band’ that’s about calling out abusers in the scene, and ‘Terf Wars’ which is pretty simple – Transphobia has no place in feminism. ‘Mr Lovebomb’ looks at altering behaviour in relationships, and ‘Lads lads lads’ is about toxic masculinity.
