Hailing from the charming town of Greensboro, Georgia, Anslee Davidson is a dynamic singer-songwriter whose musical journey began in her early teens, crafting songs and strumming guitars alongside her father. At just 16, she earned a Golden Ticket on American Idol, but a COVID diagnosis temporarily derailed her dreams. Emerging with renewed dedication, Anslee has since become a notable figure in the country and Americana music scene as she balances her studies and music career while being enrolled in the songwriting program at Belmont University.

In 2021, Anslee signed with Oconee Music Foundry, leading to collaborations with Nashville’s finest and sharing stages with artists like Kristian Bush from Sugarland, Drew & Ellie Holcomb, Rhett Akins, Restless Road, and Deana Carter. She regularly performs at iconic venues such as the Bluebird Café, Whiskey Jam, and Eddie’s Attic, captivating audiences with her blend of influences.

In 2023, Anslee released her highly anticipated second EP, “Made Me,” which has garnered nearly 2 million streams across all major platforms. The title track earned significant attention, securing spots on Spotify’s curated playlists, “New Music Nashville” and “Fresh Finds Country: Best of 2023.” The year 2023 saw her star rise further with her debut music video for “Forget Me Not” featured on CMT.com. With over 225k followers across TiktokInstagram, and Youtube, and a voice described as “Timeless” by Katy Perry, Anslee seamlessly blends Classic Country, Americana, Pop, and R&B.

Most recently, Anslee performed for WSM Radio’s “On Air With Eryn”, on a live stream at the Grand Ole Opry, prior to her Whiskey Jam performance at the Opry Plaza.

What:  Anslee Davidson had the pleasure of writing her next release, “Praying In A Bar” with 2023 “Song of the Year” (CMT, ACM, CMA) multi-nominee Ben Williams, who wrote the multi-award-winning “Tennessee Orange” performed by Megan Moroney. Anslee had long admired Williams’ work and was thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate. When Williams asked if she had any ideas, Anslee mentioned a concept about praying in a bar. Without hesitation, Williams responded enthusiastically, “That sounds like a smash, let’s write that!”

The song, titled “Praying In A Bar,” paints a vivid picture of a woman navigating a whirlwind romance. Amid her emotional rollercoaster, she finds herself praying in the dim light of a bar, hoping that her connection is genuine. The lyrics tell a story of cautious hope, tender moments, and an earnest plea for divine guidance. “Praying In A Bar” is a testament to finding profound experiences in the most unlikely places.

Quote from Anslee: “Shout out to my brother, Brae, for the title on this one. My grandma, Birdie, was sick and had to be rushed to the hospital (P.S. she pulled through like a champ). It was my job to call my brothers. Brae answered the phone and told me he was literally, ‘praying in a bar.’ Later, I thought to myself, ‘That’s a great name for a country song.’ Once I had the opportunity to write with Ben Williams, I knew he could help me bring this song to life. It is probably one of my favorite songs I’ve written since I moved to Nashville”
