Raised in the Carolinas, Doug moved to Tampa and started working the Bay Area music scene at the tender age of 17. After playing with many gifted musician’s in the area he formed a power trio primarily rooted in Blues, but incorporating a slew of genres including Jazz, Country, Rock and Funk.
The Doug South Band is now one of Tampa Bays hardest working trios. With a powerful sound to be reckoned with, a modern feel, old school soul and impeccable musicianship this band will put on a performance you won’t soon forget.
