Josh began as a garage band drummer in high school before he learned the guitar. He began his professional musical ventures in Delray Beach, FL while in college, which is where he began hosting an open mic, playing out live, and writing his own songs… Josh’s goal is to tell relatable stories, and get small and be honest in his songwriting. Most of his work stems from personal experience and internal battles of love, fear, and heartbreak. Josh was a drummer in his college band (Track Nine) before relocating back home to Tampa, where he became a lead singer and songwriter. Josh’s hometown of Safety Harbor is one of his favorite spots to play, and has built a following in the North Pinellas region. Currently residing in Tampa, he is always looking for new venues to bring his sound to. Josh keeps it simple wielding just one acoustic guitar and one microphone. Josh is available to be booked as a solo artist for a cover gig, original gigs, as a duo, and as a Dave Matthews Tribute show that comprises of one other guitar and a saxophone. His influences include Johnny Cash, Ray LaMontagne, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Eddie Vedder, John Mayer, and Tom Petty. His sets include a wide variety of oldies to current singer/songwriter type music. Josh is known for differentiating his set so that the consistent following can get a new and unique show every time. Josh prides himself of playing songs that aren’t on the traditional cover song list that you would find at any bar you would walk into on any given night. “I like to give people something that they can feel, and not just something they hear.” Josh’s first project, “Before You Dig” was released everywhere on 3/10/2020, listen and enjoy!
