Matt Winter

It all started out as a family affair… My folks taught my sisters and I how to sing and play. Music kept the family tight, and so the journey began. I started playing music around age four (mainly singing). I picked up the guitar at fourteen because I wanted to be the MD (musical director, more like campfire specialist) at this summer camp in central FL… When I turned 15, I finally got hired for the job. My roots kind of fall along those lines. Bond fires on Friday, church on Sunday. These were the places where music first became a part of me. All and all, very good times! I learned that goal of singing is to reach the heart of your audience. Perhaps better put – to sing with soul, or as we like to say, “sangin!”
