Finally, at 10:30 pm, it was time for Burning Witches! Now, it was mentioned this bar/venue is an intimate setting and has tables right up to the stage barriers. The crowd pushed forward to get as close as possible to the ladies before they came on stage. The band entered the left side of the crowd, or stage right then disappeared behind curtains that concealed them until it was time to kick some ass for the 160 or so metal fans in attendance.
The set started with “Unleash the Beast” from the album The Dark Tower which was released in 2023. The Dark Tower was the band’s fifth album and marked their new association with Napalm Records.
Lead singer Laura Guldemond had the room eating out of her hands as she led the band through the 13 song-set. The show was mesmerizing as guitarists Romana Kalkuhl, and Courtney Cox, along with bassist Jeanine Grob utilized the complete stage. Drummer, Lala Frischknecht was tucked back behind the kit and kept the Burning Witches on track.
