Golden One Center located in Sacramento, California on March 3, 2024 hosted Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, The Maine, and Daisy Grenade. This was going to be a great show and by the number of fans filing into the show, it was evident that was the consensus.
Daisy Grenade was up first. Hailing from New York City, they played their bubblegum grunge for five songs. Starting with “Are You Scared of Me Yet?.” These girls rock as they jammed through their set, shuffling through songs such as “Cult Classic”, “Guts” and Nirvana‘s “Polly”. They blasted through their set and before we knew it, they were done.

Next up on stage was the band, The Maine. The band members Came out in white tuxedos and performed very well. They started set with the song “Blame” They shredded through their set like men possessed. This was an awesome song to begin the set with as it set the pace for the show. The band was on fire, ranging from “Sticky”, “Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful” to “Thoughts I Have While Lying in Bed”. The most impressive scene was when John called up a fan from the crowd and sang a duet with him. With one song left, “Love You A Little”, it was done. What an awesome band.

Jimmy Eat World was a no-photograph for me. I was bummed but it was nice to sit back and relax and watch the band. They started with “A Praise of Chorus”, and then the band let loose with a myriad of songs. From “Sweetness” to “All the Way (Stay),” They delved into their back catalog as well as their newer songs. The band powered through the set from start to finish, jamming their way through. The 15-song set was a full-length set similar to a headlining act. They rocked the entire set and had the audience screaming for more.

Fall Out Boy was the Band that everyone was waiting for. This band was incredible live, with the smoke, the pyro, well everything. Fall Out Boy was a beast of a band that dominated the night from the opener “Love From the Other Side,” they just dominated the stage. From the stage show to the music, it was all going on. The band kept the pace building throughout the set, from songs “Uma Thurman” to “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s An Arms Race”, they were just linking it on stage.
Eventually, Patrick donned the piano and rocked out several songs including “What a Catch, Donny”, Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “So Much (For) Stardust”. They also covered Ozzy’s “Crazy Train” which was awesome. The rest of the set was just as good featuring the debut of “27” which appeared in the magic 8 ball. The show ended with “Saturday” which had tremendous pyro added through the mix. Overall, it was a great show and Fall Out Boy led the way.

Photographer of about 10 years, I have been shooting concerts for about 8 of those years. I started to get serious about concert photography about 6 or 7 years ago and now try to shoot as many as I can. I shoot mostly rock but, have done some country and big band stuff. I love music and since I am nowhere close to being a musician, this is a way I can be a small part of what, in the words of Henry Rollins, “gets me through the highs, the lows and everything in between”.
