Over the last year, Gretchen Wilson won season 13 of FOX TV’s top-rated “The Masked Singer,” was high-profile as the Tour Manager on the hit CBS-TV series THE ROAD, and had a high-octane performance on “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.” On May 1, 2026, she will release, “Redneck Shit,” a rowdy return to form, boot-stompin’, beer-slingin’ ode to unfiltered rural life that echoes the spirit of her breakthrough hits.

Written by Gretchen with Jacob Summers, Krista Marie Oswald, and Sarah Beth Terry, she also produced the track with Ryan Nelson. The upbeat song will be released on her Redneck Records label in a new partnership with Thirty Tigers. Save/Add the new single HERE.

“This song is gonna hit listeners exactly the same way Redneck Woman did 20 years ago!” said Gretchen. “But this one isn’t just for the girls… it’s for anybody and everybody who ever wanted to wear a pair of muddy boots and get stupid in the country!”

With lyrics painting vivid scenes of ass-less chaps, mud-flingin’ fun, backyard bars, and family traditions (“This is redneck shit / It ain’t got no quit”), the track delivers an infectious chorus packed with grit, humor, and downhome pride. Verses celebrate creek swimmin’, Hank crankin’, and blue-collar hustle, while the bridge soars with patriotic flair: “Country / Where the eagle flies across American skies.” It’s pure Gretchen—raw, real, and ready to rally her loyal fanbase of redneck rebels.

Fairly new to TikTok, Gretchen’s personal, often fan-engaged and regularly hilarious posts have generated millions of views. Her enduring appeal—proven by her multi-million sellers and recent high-profile TV visibility—proves she ain’t just back—she’s unleashing the redneck revolution with a plan to make “Redneck Shit” the anthem of 2026!
