Guitarist Eric Gales discusses Crown album, writing his memoir, symphonies, and Ozzy Osbourne 11/8/2022

Eric Gales has been known as Raw Dawg or Lil E when he’s worked with Grammy and Oscar-winning group Three 6 Mafia, but he is, of course, most widely recognized as one of the greatest blues guitarists in the world.

He got his first record deal for $250,000 at 15 years old. And now, more than 30 years later with some 18 records under his belt, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitar players of all time. In January 2022, he released his latest album Crown, which is co-produced by the great Joe Bonamassa, and it made its debut at #1 on the Billboard Blues chart.

Eric sits down with Dr. Music to discuss details and inspiration behind the Crown record, while fielding questions about writing his memoir, if he would record with Ozzy Osbourne, and his desire to work with a symphony.

Eric Gales will be appearing at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, FL on December 8th, 2022
