Keith St. John has been a vocalist for great bands like Burning Rain, Kingdom Come, Lynch Mob, and many more. He has been a cast member on the long-running Vegas show Raiding The Rock Vault as well. But Keith St. John is perhaps known best for his tenure as the singer of Montrose, a job he held for the last 12 years of guitarist Ronnie Montrose’s life.
To honor his former boss, Keith became the producer of a great event memorializing Ronnie called Ronnie Montrose Remembered. The first Ronnie Montrose Remembered event was 10 years ago, and Keith is ready to celebrate that anniversary by having what is shaping up to be the biggest event yet!
The 10th Anniversary Ronnie Montrose Remembered event will take place on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at the Grand Theater Anaheim Event Center (just 2 blocks from the NAMM Convention Center) and there will be a who’s who of celebrity guests in attendance to honor the guitar legend.
In this interview, Keith tells us about some of the things he has in store for the 10th Anniversary show. He also tells us about his time writing and playing with Ronnie in Montrose, and what his plans are for 2026.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. For more info, or to make a donation, click here.

Hello everyone! My name is Scott Itter, but some know me as Dr. Music. I am a music journalist and photographer out of the Chicagoland area, and I have been in practice for over 20 years. I grew up in the 70’s with two big brothers that showed me all kinds of rock and roll. As I grew older I ventured out into different genres like jazz, funk, folk, and whatever else I could wrap my ears around. As I read every liner note and every Circus and Hit Parader like they were the Old and New Testament, I came to realize that I just love sound and appreciate all the people that create it.
I later became a stay-at-home dad and started honing my writing and photography skills to keep my mind from turning into mashed peas. My kids are now adults, my mind is only slightly mushy, and I am thrilled to have the honor of presenting my work to you!
