Most people will know Marc from his 30+ years as the vocalist for hard rock band Krokus. After forming in 1975 and selling millions of records that have achieved gold and platinum status (and going on hiatus here and there), the band is still alive and well today. But at the beginning of 2021, Marc assembled a new band and recorded his first solo album called Live And Let Live under the name Storace. And now, Marc and Storace have a brand new record called Crossfire coming out on November 22, 2024 on Frontiers Records.
In this interview, Marc takes the time to give us the intimate details of his latest solo record (Crossfire), stories from his long legacy in rock and roll, how he keeps his voice in shape, and his family life. He talks about his film with Doro Pesch, how he brought Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henricksen in for the new record, his beginnings in TEA, his light rock record from the 90’s, and his kids ventures into the music world.

Hello everyone! My name is Scott Itter, but some know me as Dr. Music. I am a music journalist and photographer out of the Chicagoland area, and I have been in practice for over 20 years. I grew up in the 70’s with two big brothers that showed me all kinds of rock and roll. As I grew older I ventured out into different genres like jazz, funk, folk, and whatever else I could wrap my ears around. As I read every liner note and every Circus and Hit Parader like they were the Old and New Testament, I came to realize that I just love sound and appreciate all the people that create it.
I later became a stay-at-home dad and started honing my writing and photography skills to keep my mind from turning into mashed peas. My kids are now adults, my mind is only slightly mushy, and I am thrilled to have the honor of presenting my work to you!
