“Even in an increasingly large sea of metalcore revivalists, there aren’t many current bands scratching that itch as damn-near-perfectly as Foreign Hands.” – BrooklynVegan

“This a metalcore classic in waiting, one with an eye…on the genre’s heyday, but also with all the urgency and punch and indeed just the undeniably brilliant songcraft it needs to hold up as its own essential entity today.” – Distorted Sound

“What’s Left Unsaid injects a rip roaring hardcore bravado into the genre’s early 2000s golden era.” – Heaviest of Art

“Both refreshing and familiar in its sounds and aesthetics, What’s Left Unsaid is an exemplary showing from a group that has truly honed their strengths, confidently settling into their own identity while still paying tribute to eras past.” – Boolin Tunes

“Lead single ‘God Under Fingernails’ is an impressive piece of fast, vicious big-room mosh music, and its breakdown is absolutely nuts.” – Stereogum

Foreign Hands makes chaotic and melodic music with passionate devotion. Acolytes of the early 2000s metalcore sound, the Delaware-and-Pennsylvania-bred band injects the style with fresh innovation. The band has released What’s Left Unsaid, their long-awaited, first full-length album, out now through SharpTone Records. Working with producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, END), Foreign Hands have crafted ten songs of creative chaos that build off emotion. To accompany the release, the band has created an intense music video for Shapeless In The Dark, one of the most distinct tracks on the record.

The band divulges: Shapeless in the Dark is the amalgamation of our farther reaching influences. This track carries a more ‘theatric’ pace and was the result of a very experimental writing process. It carries some borrowed essences all the way from Crosses to Failure, who happened to be two artists we had on repeat at the time. We all poured lots of hard work into making this song a fully-realized entity through our own lens, and are pleased to offer it as our final single in tandem with the release of our debut LP, What’s Left Unsaid.

‘I have always found my awareness of suffering more painful than the suffering itself’ is a quote at the end of the song by Fernando Pessoa, and it explains the lyrics of Shapeless in the Dark perfectly. It’s an existential crisis turned inside out. It’s the sum of the crippling anxiety that occurs when you’re too self-aware of your existence and surroundings. Personally, this has been an internal battle for as long as I can remember. The lyrics are purposefully dry and poetic, contradictory and consistent. It takes everything you may or may not be aware of and forces you to uncomfortably sit with it.”

Following runs in the US and Japan, Foreign Hands continue to have a packed touring schedule ahead. They’ll start on July 7 with a couple of headline shows before meeting up to support Misery Signals support on their North American farewell tour. Foreign Hands will then head to Europe in October, joining Guilt Trip.

Formed in 2016, Foreign Hands is composed of Tyler Norris (vocals), Jack Beatson (guitar/vocals), Gill Gonzalez (guitar), Chuck Minix (bass), and Tyler Washington (drums). Releasing a number of singles from 2017-2021, the band truly made their mark as one of metalcore’s must-know newcomers with the release of their EP Bleed The Dream (DAZE) in early 2022, earning praise from Revolver, BrooklynVegan, Stereogum, and more. Foreign Hands signed with SharpTone that same year and released Lucid Noise, consisting of two singles that showcased their penchant for writing feverish tracks with huge choruses. Since then, the band has been able to tour and share the stage with acts like CounterpartsStick To Your GunsThe Acacia Strain, and IncendiaryForeign Hands is coming forth with an elevated sonic output that is sure to make them mainstays in the world of metal and beyond.
