Clearwater, Florida is known for its beautiful beaches, but also for great entertainment at OCC Road House and Museum. It was Sunday, September 15, 2024, and temperatures were mild for a mid-September early evening with a slight breeze blowing through the open-air venue keeping the crowd comfortable. The audience was on hand to see Plush on the last date of their 2024 headline tour. For the past two years, the group has been opening for bands Kiss, Alice In Chains, Daughtry, Sevendust, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Evanescence, and most recently Disturbed. Their self-titled album released in 2021 was highly successful with two Billboard Top 40 charting singles “Hate” and “Better Off Alone.”
Joining Plush on the stage was Kamenar a two-piece rock band from Tampa, Florida. The two twin brothers John and Sean Kamenar create a full sound with John on drums and Sean on guitar also filling in on the bass riffs. Kamenar played a short six-song set with high energy and the audience was thoroughly entertained as they cheered until the end of the show which culminated with a drum solo performed but the twins.
When they are not touring with the likes of Ace Frehley, Night Ranger, Alice Cooper, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy, Bret Michaels, Hinder, Puddle Of Mudd, Saliva, New Years Day, you may be able to catch their show in the Tampa Bay area. Get out and support these hard-working brothers!

In 1975 music producer Kim Fowley brainstormed to assemble an all-girl rock and roll band. That band had some success, and two members went on to have great solo careers. Plush’s formation was organic and assembled like any other band, one member meets another member they decide to start a band, then go looking for members to fill it out.
Vocals/Guitar Moriah Formica, was on season 13 of The Voice, guitarist Bella Perron studied at Berklee College of Music, vocalist/bassist Ashley Suppa sang backup vocals on Ace Frehley’s Anomaly album, Faith Powell joined the band just weeks after her high school graduation. These young ladies are legitimate rockers, so don’t let the glamourous looks fool you, they are for real. Plush is out supporting their latest EP, Find The Beautiful which was released earlier this year. The fifteen-song set included songs “Barracuda”, and new singles “Left Behind,” and “Run” off the new EP.
Seeing Plush perform the Heart cover “Barracuda” deserves a double take as Formica’s vocals rival the angelic voice of Ann Wilson and they perform the song perfectly. The excitement and legitimacy are real and these ladies are both good musicians and stage performers worthy of rock star support.
