P!nk wrapped up her two year long “Summer Carnival” tour at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Monday, November 18, 2024. She was supported by opening acts Maren Morris and Sheryl Crow. DJ Kid Cutup kept the large crowd singing and dancing before each performance. This was a very special performance and one of the greatest concerts anyone has ever produced.
Camping World Stadium is a medium-sized football stadium, host to events such as Monster Trucks, the NFL Pro Bowl Games and the college football Citrus Bowl. The field was packed tightly with folding chairs, maximizing the amount of people who could be seated close to the stage. The stage had a large catwalk which extended almost to the end of the premium sections. It appeared that half the crowd was wearing pink clothing, with some going all out in their outfits. Several hard-core fans managed to pass gifts up to P!nk, which she gladly accepted and proudly displayed. It was a beautiful fall evening in Orlando, which is still enjoying summer weather. The venue was buzzing as the crowd settled in to enjoy 4-1/2 hours of entertainment.
Maren Morris got the party started with her soulful blend of pop, R&B, and country music. Morris has several crossover hits to her credit, so this was much more than a typical opening act. She is a polished performer. She has a very pleasant voice, and the sound was very clear. She did not receive the benefit of any videos or lighting, and the massive stage setup swallowed up her and her band. Her vibe is chill and the crowd mostly sat and listened. Overall, it was a solid start to an evening that only got better as the night went on.

After another set from DJ Cut Up, Sheryl Crow and her long-time band took the stage. The band stayed back on the main stage, creating distance from the crowd. Crow spent a good amount of time working the catwalk, engaging the crowd. There was not much production for her show either, although the sound quality remained excellent. Her sound is very chill, and this show could just as easily been performed in a coffee shop on a Sunday morning. But the crowd knows all of her hits, and she threw in some classic covers to spice things up. Sheryl Crow looks and sounds as good as she always has, so it’s hard to believe that she has been world-famous for 3 decades. The crowd was getting increasingly active as the set went on. What a treat to get 3 headline performers for the price of one!

P!nk started her show with a Max Headroom-inspired animated video showing on the big screens. The stage was decorated from top to tail with inflatables, props, lights, smoke, and fireworks. A large mouth suspended from the top of the stadium opened to reveal P!nk. As she started singing, she did a swan dive down to the stage, supported by a bungee cord. She continued to perform acrobatics while delivering the song, this time with two of her dancers joining in on the flying fun. The surprises never stopped for a solid 2 hours.
Over the course of an astonishing 21 song set, P!nk and her ultra-talented band and dancers showed off every possible entertainment skill. There were lights, videos, fire, fireworks, and animated stage props. There were dancers, acrobats, 3 insanely talented backing vocalists, a fantastic band highlighted by lead guitarist Justin Derrico who could shred a solo and bring tears with tender acoustic strumming. The colorful stage was part of the show, often transforming and evolving. Parts of the show felt like a Broadway musical, while others were stand-up comedies.
P!nk brought all of the feels to the fans, as she spoke to the crowd often, shifting between self-deprecating jokes and heart-breaking personal stories. Her mother was in attendance, as was her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, who joined her on stage to perform “Cover Me In Sunshine”. There were piano ballads and acoustic renditions of classics such as “Don’t Let Me Get Me” which was one of the highlights of the night, as the crowd sang along and the stripped-down delivery allowed the emotional lyrics could be felt by everyone. The encore song “So What” was the ultimate thrilling surprise, as P!nk flew on a harness over the entire stadium, like a pop diva Tinker Bell, visiting everyone in the venue, thanking them all for being part of a spectacular two-year journey.
