CHAMBER
DEBUTS FEROCIOUS NEW SINGLE
HOPELESS PORTRAIT
NEW ALBUM
A LOVE TO KILL FOR
OUT JULY 14

Nashville metalcore agitators CHAMBER have revealed the third single, Hopeless Portrait, from their highly anticipated second full-length record, A Love To Kill For, that’s due out July 14th from Pure Noise Records.

Commenting on the single, guitarist Gabe Manuel says: “Most of the songs on the record are confrontational and critical of others who are lost in addiction, narcissism, etc. The lyrics in Hopeless Portrait are an acknowledgment that we are no better than those people in the grand scheme of things. We’re all trapped here trying to make the best of lives we didn’t ask for. This was the last song we wrote in the studio and it almost didn’t make the record because we thought it was too over the top musically, but after everything came together it ended up being one of our favorites.”

ABOUT CHAMBER:
Hailed by Kerrang! as “a baptism of fire, one that will thrill, bruise and possibly disgust,” the debut album from CHAMBER, Cost Of Sacrifice, was a lesson in blunt-force brutality. The Pure Noise Records LP elevated the Nashville-based metalcore quartet to new levels of the underground, earning them a stamp of approval from tastemakers like Revolver and BrooklynVegan as well as slots on tours with the likes of Wage War, Eighteen Visions, Counterparts and Kublai Khan.

On Chamber‘s follow up, A Love To Kill For, the sophomore Pure Noise album from guitarist Gabe Manuel, vocalist Jacob Lilly, bassist Chris Smith and drummer Taylor Carpenter aim for a faster, louder, more chaotic and unpredictable sound than ever before. All these elements have been fundamental parts of Chamber’s ear-rattling sound since the group formed in the tight-knit Nashville scene in 2017, but they’ve never been so confident and soul-shaking as they are now.

Produced by longtime collaborator Randy LeBoeuf (The Acacia Strain, Gideon) over the course of a month in New Jersey, A Love To Kill For follows 2022’s surprise Carved In Stone EP and is, unsurprisingly, reflective of the time period in which the band created it – a fraught, turbulent moment in the history of the modern world with unprecedented trickle-down and turmoil, prolonged periods of disconnection and isolation that allowed for existential reflection and detours into destructive behavior.

These are heavy topics begetting heavier songs, swerving in techy, math-rock brilliance, rabid tempos and unrelenting antipathy that swirl into a genre-fluid rage. First single Tremble sets the musical mission statement for the record – blistering riffs that give way to tremorous breakdowns and grooves alike – while Devoured and To Die In The Grip Of Poison feature ear-shattering cameos from Kublai Khan’s Matt Honeycutt and BoundariesMatt McDougal, respectively, that could soundtrack the most devastating Mortal Kombat fatalities.By the time things let up for a brief breath during the cinematic title track, it’s clear the band have hit another gear, raising the bar on what’s possible for dexterous metal and hardcore while leaving the future open wide for future evolutions of their musical brutality. That’s bad news for others looking to plant their flag in the heavy music landscape, but a win for those lucky enough to experience Chamber’s harrowing live show.

NO MORE SOUND
TO BE RELEASED JULY 7

Los Angeles, CA – Alternative emo punk band, Sad Park have released another new single called CAROUSEL taken from their upcoming new album NO MORE SOUND, out July 7 via Pure Noise Records. It follows the lead single ALWAYS AROUND, which was released with the announcement of the new album.

“CAROUSEL is about wishing you could freeze a moment in time…knowing you are in the middle of something special while it’s happening and wishing you could live in that moment for an eternity,” says the band on the new song out today. “The song went through a lot of changes from the time we wrote it to when we recorded it,” they continue. “For some of us it just never felt fully there, so we decided to cut it from the album. It wasn’t until we were in the studio talking about songs that our producer, Sean Bonnette of AJJ, suggested we bring it back and give it one last chance. He suggested we make it a little “slower and moodier, almost like Deftones” so we took that, gave it another try and it is the song that made the album.”

NO MORE SOUND is Sad Park’s third full length and first for Pure Noise Records. The band worked with AJJ’s Sean Bonnette, who oversaw production and collaborated with vocalist/guitarist Graham Steele on the lyric writing process, helped by bassist/vocalist Sam Morton, drummer Grant Bubar and guitarist Aidan Memory, not only creating a record that flows, musically and thematically, from beginning to end, but which also sees the four-piece truly discover and become who they are as a band.

“The theme of the album is summarized into four parts: Life, Death, Love, and Time,” says Steele. Recorded across ten days at Balboa Studios in Los Angeles, NO MORE SOUND is the sound of a band really coming into their own. It captures their chemistry perfectly, and as much fun as the band had making the record in general, it still manages to convey the band’s distinctively peppy sense of melancholy.

While Sad Park have always tapped into the human condition with their songs, they do so even more profoundly on this record.Sad Park will support The Frights in North America starting on July 7, before supporting AJJ throughout August.

With less than a month to go before release their new record, Nashville power-rockers THE PINK SPIDERS have revealed their third single, Let’s Go Home. The endearing and enduring summery anthem is the latest from the band’s first album in 5 years, Freakazoid, that’s due out July 7th from Pure Noise Records.

Commenting on the single, frontman Matt Friction says: “Let’s Go Home is the first Pink Spiders song to celebrate the low-key joy of skipping the party and the bad decisions and just kickin’ it at home with the ones you love. It’s a bit out of character, but we felt like it was time for an anthem to taking care of yourself and not waking up with regrets. This sign of maturity will likely resonate with fans and critics alike.”

THE PINK SPIDERS will hit the road in support of Freakazoid next month for a tour with Less Than Jake and Voodoo Glow Skulls, followed by an excursion kicking off in September with Everclear and The Ataris.

SPANISH LOVE SONGS
AUSTRALIA TOUR 2023
NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND

Prepare to fall in love all over again this August when Los Angeles-formed indie punks Spanish Love Songs head down under for a national headline tour. Renowned for their intimate lyricism and magnetic blend of punk, emo, alt rock earworms as much as they are for their emphatic live performances, these upcoming 2023 Australian shows will also coincide with the hotly anticipated release of their fourth studio album No Joy.

Kicking off on Saturday 19 August in Canberra, Spanish Love Songs will make their way to Sydney, with a new show announced on Sunday 20 August at Mary’s Underground, then journey on to Newcastle, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, before playing on Friday 25 August in Melbourne on the very same day that No Joy unveils into the world. And due to overwhelming demand, Spanish Love Songs have added an extra Melbourne show, closing out their down under tour at Stay Gold on Saturday 26 August. Tickets for Canberra and Brisbane shows are selling fast, with a low ticket warning for Melbourne’s show on Friday 25 August.

Recently announcing their new album No Joy, Spanish Love Songs have also unveiled a peek into the new sonic chapter for the band via the single Haunted, and their latest single Clean-Up Crew.

With 12 new songs in store, No Joy finds Spanish Love Songs grappling with the messiness of what it means to be alive in the modern age, while also embracing notions of finding happiness in any given moment, good or bad.

Forming in 2013, Spanish Love Songs have gone on to cultivate an ardent following. Renowned for their richly personal, no-holds-barred lyricism coated in existential dread, hyper-personal cultural ruminations and attempts to tackle some of life’s big questions, Spanish Love Songs remain equally hard-hitting and relatable.

Previously sharing stages with the likes of The Wonder Years and The Menzingers, Spanish Love Songs will also appear in 2023 at Slam Dunk Festival, as well as dates upcoming with Hot Mulligan.

To witness Spanish Love Songs live in action is to truly experience a moment in time unburdened by ego and pulsating with earnest and hook-ready punk rock goodness – and Australia can be sure there will be some delightful new material to devour when the group hit our shores this August.
