(New York, NY) – As the summer gets ready to kick off, New York rockers King Falcon is heating things up with their new single being released via Mascot Records. “Plastic Crown” is the latest offering from the quartet comprised of Michael Rubin [vocals, lead guitar], Joe Conserva [bass], Sergio Ripa [guitar], and Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty [drums]. “Plastic Crown” is the debut from this current lineup and is an upbeat rocker that showcases the band’s songwriting ability to create unforgettable hooks. A music video for the song is in the works and will be released soon. “Plastic Crown” is now available on all digital services providers and can be found HERE.
“‘Plastic Crown’ is about a close relationship that falls apart and you realize how toxic of a situation it was. You don’t realize how much better life is until they are out of it. The song came together quick in the studio when the band added their personal touches to the original idea, and you can hear the final result. It is the first song we are releasing with this lineup, and we couldn’t be more excited for people to check it out,” explains Rubin. King Falcon was recently featured on the broadcast TV program, ABC Localish. A camera crew followed the band around one afternoon and documented them at Industry – a Long Island venue where the band formed. The 5-minute feature was distributed through ABC Network’s national syndication and has added to the band’s following since release. The feature can be seen here. The band will be hitting the road in support of “Plastic Crown.” King Falcon has dates announced through October and will be adding more dates to bring their music to the masses. The band will be making an appearance at the NXNE (North By Northeast) Festival as well as opening shows for The Struts in Toronto, ON and Boston, MA. They will also be sharing the stage with Saving Abel in October. Information on shows can be found HERE.

About King Falcon
Outfitted with lived-in and loud vintage gear, shaped equally by 21st century alternative and classic rock, and proudly born in New York City, King Falcon rev up raw and raucous anthems with attitude and a whole lot of emotion. The quartet—Michael Rubin [vocals, lead guitar], Joe Conserva [bass], Sergio Ripa [guitar], and Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty [drums]—boldly break boundaries both in the studio and on stage. In between spending hours with a guitar in-hand, Michael obsessed over classic records by Steely Dan and Led Zeppelin in addition to Tame Impala’s Currents. The Queens native eventually founded his first project Inoculated Canaries, stirring up local buzz, touring, and landing on radio airwaves. Progressing as a singer and guitarist, he officially launched King Falcon in 2020. Blown away by demos, Mascot Label Group signed the King Falcon in the middle of the Global Pandemic without even meeting them in-person or seeing them live. The group’s self-titled debut, King Falcon, arrived during 2023. It racked up north of 2 million streams on Spotify fueled by “Ready Set Go,” “Cadillac,” and “Everybody’s Down.” Inciting unanimous critical applause, mxdwn hailed them as “Best New Artist 2023,” and Guitar World christened them “one of NYC’s most exciting indie-rock bands.” Meanwhile, they packed houses at headline gigs in addition to performing alongside everyone from Des Roc to Sublime With Rome. ABC Localish did a profile on the band that was shared across all their affiliates nationally and further established the band. Now, the musicians sharpen a scorching signature style on a series of 2025 singles and their forthcoming second full-length album for Mascot.
