The atmosphere at Lytham Festival was electric, with a palpable sense of excitement in the air. Fans of all ages, many sporting pink Stetsons, gathered near the stage, ready to celebrate the 4th of July with country-pop icon Shania Twain. The crowd’s energy was infectious, and their participation was enthusiastic throughout the evening, creating a vibrant and engaging concert experience.

Delta Goodrem opened the evening with a set that perfectly complemented the headliner. Dressed in a sparkly silver outfit, she captivated the audience with her powerful vocals and engaging stage presence. Highlights of her performance included hits like “Wings” and “Born to Try,” which showcased her vocal range and emotional depth. Her interaction with the crowd, including moments at her piano, set a warm and inviting tone for the night.

Following Delta, Rag’n’Bone Man took the stage, bringing his unique blend of blues, hip-hop, and soul. His deep, emotive voice resonated through the festival grounds, particularly during performances of “Human” and “Giant”. His amiable stage presence and heartfelt delivery made his set a standout, and the crowd responded with great appreciation loud cheering and singing along, with great passion.

Shania Twain, the evening’s headliner, made a grand entrance in a sheer black bodysuit, fishnet tights, and boots, wrapped in a bright orange puffa jacket to combat the chilly sea breeze. She opened with “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You),” immediately engaging the audience with her charismatic performance.

“You Win My Love” and “I’m Gonna Getcha Good”: These tracks had the crowd dancing and singing along, showcasing Twain’s ability to blend country and pop seamlessly.

“Honey I’m Home”: This song was a crowd favourite, with fans belting out the lyrics in unison.

“You’re Still The One”: A more intimate moment in the set, Twain performed this ballad acoustically, creating a touching atmosphere as couples in the audience embraced and sang along.

“Man! I Feel Like A Woman”: The ultimate anthem of the night, this song turned the festival into a massive sing-along, with everyone joining in the chorus.

A particularly heartwarming moment was when Twain invited 81-year-old local resident Ken on stage, thanking him for his unwavering support over the years. This gesture highlighted Twain’s connection with her fans and added a personal touch to the evening.

Shania Twain’s performance at Lytham Festival was a masterclass in showmanship and crowd engagement. Supported by stellar acts like Delta Goodrem and Rag’n’Bone Man, the evening was a celebration of music, resilience, and community.
