As previously announced, legendary Southern California band Sublime will be joined by their long-time friends and fellow icons, Slightly Stoopid, for this historic inaugural celebration, uniting two of the most influential bands in the punk–reggae–rock world on one stage. The Me Gusta Festival lineup will also feature main stage performances from IrationLong Beach Dub Allstars, The Ataris, Codefendants, and HR of Bad Brains, as well sets from Jakobs Castle (featuring Jakob Nowell), Strange Case and more on the SVNBVRNT Stage.

This new multi-city celebration of reggae, punk rock, hip hop and the spirit of Sublime marks the beginning of a national festival series, created by Regime Music Group and Brew Ha Ha Productions, and built around the timeless sound, spirit, and cultural impact of Sublime. Taking its name from the iconic lyric “Me gusta mi reggae, me gusta punk rock” from the song Caress Me Down,” the all-ages festival embodies everything Sublime stands for: sun-soaked vibes, rebellious spirit, and a love for music without boundaries. Each stop will feature a lineup hand-picked to represent the crossroads of reggae and punk — blending the laid-back grooves and the high-voltage attitude that have always been at the heart of Sublime. Fans can expect full-day events packed with live performances, local vendors, art, food, drinks, and exclusive Sublime experiences designed to bring the culture to life.

Fans can enjoy an immersive day of live music, community, and good vibes when Sublime Me Gusta makes its debut in Texas, and additional dates (including one in Oregon on June 27) will be announced in the coming weeks.

The festival will also offer craft beer sampling as a $15.99 add-on purchase for those 21+, showcasing the best local, regional, and national craft beer, hard seltzer, and cider from Noon to 3:00 PM.

About Sublime

Sublime, the Long Beach, CA reggae-punk/alternative rock trio, was founded in 1988 by Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh and Bradley Nowell. They released their first self-produced album, 40oz. to Freedom, in 1992 via Skunk Records. Heavy radio exposure on Southern California’s KROQ (two years after its initial release) landed the band a deal with Gasoline Alley Records, an imprint of MCA.

1994’s Robbin’ the Hood revealed an experimental ethic more in keeping with the cut-and-paste dub than the well-tuned rage of the Cali punk revival. The album performed well at college radio and set the stage for the breakout success of their self-titled third album. On May 25, 1996, however, Bradley Nowell tragically passed away and the band collapsed, but Universal went ahead with the release of their eponymous album in July of 1996.

On the strength of the chart-topping alternative radio hit “What I Got,” the RIAA certified the album gold by the end of 1996. The undeniable radio hits “Santeria” and “Wrong Way” followed, resulting in the album selling more than 9 million copies without any live shows. This success spread to the band’s earlier albums, leading 40oz. to Freedom to double-platinum status and Robbin’ the Hood to gold. Sublime has gone on to sell over 18 million RIAA certified albums in the US. Their genre-defining contributions to music and cultural influence is stronger today than ever before.

In late December of 2023, Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob Nowell joined original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson on stage for the first time to perform at a benefit concert for Bad Brains’ H.R. With an undeniable musical synergy between the three, and overwhelming reaction and support from fans across the world, they decided to move forward and continue the Sublime legacy, starting the new chapter fans had hoped would one day come. Just five months later, Sublime officially debuted their new lineup on the main stage at Coachella in April 2024, garnering rave reviews from press and fans across the world, solidifying the next chapter age of Sublime with Jakob Nowell at the helm.

In May of 2024 the band released their first new song in nearly 28 years, “Feel Like That,” which peaked at #5 and earned Sublime their first top 10 hit on the alternative airplay chart since 1997. Sublime also made their late-night television debut on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and appeared on the Howard Stern Show.

Sublime continued writing the next chapter in the band’s storied history in 2025. Their single “Ensenada” became the band’s first #1 hit since their iconic 1996 single “What I Got,” setting a new record for the longest gap between #1s in the Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart’s history. The band has delivered standout performances at major music festivals across the globe, in addition to an exclusive acoustic set at New York City’s Silver Lining Lounge, presented by the Lipps Service podcast. Sublime also headlined their own multi-day Las Vegas event, Fear, Loathing and Sublime in Las Vegas, celebrating the band’s cultural and musical impact. The band also made their national morning television debut on NBC’s TODAY Show with a live performance of “Ensenada.”

2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Sublime as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1996 self-titled album with two special nights at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (April 17-18), marking the kickoff of a year-long celebration honoring the classic RIAA 5x Platinum-certified LP. The legendary Southern California band will also launch their very own touring music festival, Sublime Me Gusta, debuting May 9 at the scenic Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, TX. This new event marks the beginning of a national festival series built around the timeless sound, spirit, and cultural impact of Sublime. The band’s highly anticipated new album, Till The Sun Explodes, is also set to be released in early 2026. The forthcoming album marks an exciting new chapter for Sublime while honoring the legacy that has inspired fans for more than three decades.
