The Amanda Broadway Band Live at The Basement East in Nashville, Tennessee

All Music Magazine headed out to cover the Amanda Broadway Band in their first show in 15 months, as they stormed the stage at The Basement East on Sunday May 23, 2021. It didn’t take long before Broadway shook off the rust and the place was jumping. This was also the first month The Basement East has had shows since it was almost completely destroyed March 3, 2020 in a terrible tornado that only left the wall with the mural “I believe in Nashville” untouched.

The Amanda Broadway Band plays a mix of soul and rhythm & blues. The stage energy is guided by Amanda Broadway with her vocals and soul-shouting enthusiasm. The horn section and backing vocals really make this a powerhouse band. The band’s debut album, The Ache was release on February 28, 2020 after a three day recording session at the “Welcome to 1979” analog studio.

The band has released a new single, “What The World Needs Now Is Love,” which was originally released by Burt Bacharach/Hal David. The new single really extenuates the funky side of the band. Get out and support these great musicians as they perform around the Nashville area!
