“There aren’t many bands causing excitement in the metal world right now that are anything quite like The HU…Within seconds of the band lurching into ‘The Gereg,’ heads across the field are banging, smiles are spreading across faces and it becomes immediately clear that Glasto is set to be the latest territory to fall under the Hu’s spell.” –METAL HAMMER (6/26/23)
“This band are powerful…one of the most creative and exciting sets for heavy music lovers in 2023.”
– KERRANG! (6/26/23)
“The Hu are an Ulaanbaatar-based eight-piece – some of them in ceremonial dress, some in leather dusters – who play a mixture of modern and traditional instruments, guitars rubbing up against tovshuur horsehead fiddles. Solence, one of Pandora’s “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023”–deliver high energy and endless optimism on their new track “F**k The Bad Vibes,” out today.
The song denotes the Sweden-formed,LA-based band’s signing with Better Noise Music who will release their new album later this year.
“We are excited to welcome Solence to the Better Noise family,” exclaims Better Noise Music President / COO Steve Kline. “Their unique and eclectic sound is a perfect compliment to our existing roster and their refreshing blend of pop hooks, electro beats, and metal intensity are poised to have the band make a significant mark on the rock scene. We are eager to help bring Solence’s music to a wider audience.”
“Octane first played Solence back in 2020 and we saw the spark of a new era in rock,” remarks Vincent Usuriello (Senior Director, Music Programming SiriusXM / Octane). “Their sound is a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements, with powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious melodies, creating an immersive sonic experience. Their breakthrough on Octane ignited their journey and they are certainly a band to watch!
“F**ck The Bad Vibes” combines big pop hooks with a dancefloor electro savvy and the heavy-yet-melodic intensity of these metal trailblazers. The result is a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting. Coinciding with its digital release, Solence have unveiled a witty music video for “F**k The Bad Vibes” that parodies “Ghostbusters,” making sure no “bad vibes” will ever be safe again.Co-directed by Michael Lombardi (Papa Roach, “The Retaliators”)and Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills),
“We feel like heavy music nowadays has the same dark message and almost the same sound, which is fine, but we wanted to bring back some fun and a different energy to the scene,” says frontman MARKUS VIDESÄTER. “With ‘F**k The Bad Vibes,’ we tried to make it direct and fun, while still keeping our musical integrity intact. We love this song and are so proud of it. The message comes straight from the heart—it’s not easy going through life but sometimes you just gotta remind yourself that you’re in charge and it’s fully possible to ‘F**k The Bad Vibes.’ This is our reminder to ourselves, and hopefully to you as well.”

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH
Revealed Collaboration with Legendary Hip-Hop Artist DMX
On New Single “This Is The Way (Feat. DMX)”
Multi-platinum hard rock powerhouse FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH released the digital deluxe version of their acclaimed album AFTERLIFE. The deluxe edition includes the original 12 tracks recorded with the band’s longtime producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed), in addition to four bonus tracks including three acoustic versions of the album’s songs “The End,” “Judgement Day,” and “Thanks For Asking” plus the brand new highly anticipated single, “This Is The Way,” featuring the late legendary rapper DMX. To further celebrate the release, Five Finger Death Punch shared the music video for “This Is The Way (feat. DMX)” directed by none other than highly influential filmmaker Hype Williams, a longtime friend and close collaborator of the late DMX. Hailed by the New York Times in 2024 as “The Nineties Wunderkind,” Hype Williams is known for his seminal work with luminaries like Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, and Jay-Z amongst others.
“Music is meant to be universal and without boundaries, and it starts at the top with us, the artists,” says Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory. “We have always embraced the mixing of genres, whether it be the remake of LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” featuring Tech N9ne as a guest, or our collaboration with blues warrior Kenny Wayne Shepherd, country star Brantley Gilbert, and Brian May, the legendary guitarist of Queen, on the song ‘Blue on Black.’”
“The idea of collaborating with DMX had been in discussion for years, and it was a long and winding road to turn this particular item on our wish list into reality. He was a lyrical warrior, a true original who spoke his mind incorruptibly. We have always viewed DMX as “the metalhead of hip-hop’ because of his aggressive, raw, and untamed style. He growled and snarled, aiming to rattle some cages–an attitude we share, as Five Finger Death Punch has always been drawn to the fearless and the real. It made all the sense in the world, but today this is more than just a song; it’s a salute to a legend, a way to honor DMX’s memory.”
When playing the song for other hip-hop legends, DMC of Run DMC, one of the originals to do it first with “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith said, “The sound of the music, what Ivan is singing about, and what X is talking about, is how X lived his life. The struggle, the dark with the light, the bad with the good, the pain with the joy. This song is very emotional, very musical, it’s very well rounded.”
And Revealed Music Video For New Track “House On Sand (Feat. Eric V Of I Prevail)”
3X Grammy Award-nominated NOTHING MORE return with their fifth album, CARNAL which features 15 songs with the San Antonio, TX-born quartet’s most focused, adventurous, and intense music to date, including their current radio single “IF IT DOESN’T HURT” which is currently in the Top 10 at #9 on the Active Rock radio charts and rising. Recorded with Grammy-nominated producer WZRD BLD (Disturbed, Motionless In White, A Day To Remember) with mixing and mastering by Zakk Cervini (Limp Bizkit, MGK, Bring Me The Horizon), CARNAL unites NOTHING MORE’s trademark introspective philosophical lyrics and unapologetically massive anthems with in-your-face rockers designed for an all-encompassing audience.
“‘CARNAL’ feels like a perfect encapsulation of what NOTHING MORE has always been,” says guitarist MARK VOLLELUNGA. “From progressive introspection to steady-state rock ‘n roll, we felt like we’ve achieved the exact balance wanted for this next installment.”
“It’s a beautiful blend of memorable guitar riffs, illustrious chord progressions and heart wrenching lyrical performances all to the beat of a drum that palpitates with syncopated obsession,” states bassist DANIEL OLIVER. “There’s truly something for everyone on this record.”
NOTHING MORE unveiled a music video for their new compelling and defiant track “HOUSE ON SAND” featuring I Prevail vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe.
“Sometimes you lose sight of your purpose in life and wander off of the path you were on,” says frontman JONNY HAWKINS on “HOUSE ON SAND”. “Years later you find yourself in a life that does not match the vision you once had for yourself. Trapped, you are left with a choice…betray your inner voice, or trust it; continue on and play it safe, or turn back and start again… I’m starting again.”
In regard to working with VANLERBERGHE, HAWKINS states: “I’m so honored and excited to have Eric screaming his heart out with me on this song!”
“Almost a year ago, the boys in NOTHING MORE sent me this demo and asked if I’d consider hopping on it,” shares VANLERBERGHE. “I checked it out and for the next few weeks, I had the chorus engrained in my brain. The song really resonated with me. I think this track, as well as the rest of their record, is NOTHING MORE’S best work and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
And Revealed Bonus Track & Video “One Foot In The Grave”

THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT
Enlist The Used Vocalist Bert Mccracken On New Video
“You’re So Ugly When You Cry”
Theatrical emo rock group THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT shared the first new video “You’re So Ugly When You Cry” featuring guest vocals from Bert McCracken of seminal emo rock outfit The Used who boast 2X RIAA Platinum certified releases (2002’s self-titled debut The Used and 2004’s In Love and Death), a RIAA Gold certification for 2007’s Lies For The Liars, and over 1.1 billion overall career streams. The song contrasts upbeat anthemic pop-punk melodies with lyrics about hitting rock bottom. “It’s not about healing, or the come-up later on, it’s about telling people ‘it sucks right now, I don’t like who I am when I’m like this, and I know you’ve felt the same way,” according to THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT vocalist LEE JENNINGS.
“Working with Bert was a lifelong dream come true for us,” exclaims JENNINGS. “We all grew up with The Used being one of our biggest influences and it was a surreal moment when he reached back out saying he loved the song and wanted to be involved.”
