With support from Speed of Light, the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia, welcomed Latin Grammy-nominated band The Warning to town on Saturday night for the latest stop on their Keep Me Fed World Tour 2025. Established in 1989, the Masquerade provides a unique concert venue experience, offering up four different indoor rooms which can handle a wide variety of capacities, individually named Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, and Alter. The largest venue space, Heaven, played host to the night’s event, with general admission fans lining up hours early in the sweltering summer afternoon heat before the doors were even scheduled to be opened at 7:00pm.
Hailing from Santa Monica, California, opening act Speed of Light took to the stage at 8:00pm in front of an already-filled facility, as the indoor air conditioning was a welcomed relief from the outside humidity. With a self-described style of “alt garage rock with punk influences,” the sibling power trio (ranging in ages from late teens to early 20s) of Cameron (guitar/vocals), Tyler (drums/vocals), and Riley Christensen (bass/vocals) launched into their first musical banger of the night in “Wolf.”
With a vocal delivery that felt part Joan Jett and part Courtney Love, Riley lead the band through 30 minutes of energetic and charismatic musicianship that clearly benefited from the natural chemistry that should come from a family unit performing live together. I particularly enjoyed hearing their latest single “Pain on a Chain” emphatically delivered, a song that highlighted their growing maturity as rock artists. Speed of Light was the perfect youthful choice to amp up the Saturday evening crowd for the headliner, as I was thoroughly impressed with their ability to win over the early Atlanta audience so quickly.

Following a 30-minute equipment turn, the house lights went dark at 9:00pm to a video screen behind the drum riser teasing the bands pending entry. Moments later, The Warning sister-trio from Monterrey, Mexico, appeared and blasted into “Six Feet Deep,” the opening track from their latest release, Keep Me Fed (June 2024). Comprised of Daniela “Dany” (guitar/lead vocals), Paulina “Pau” (drums/vocals), and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal (bass/vocals), The Warning has established themselves as a rock force to be reckoned with since their formation back in 2013 and Saturday night’s production only reinforced that notion for me.
In front of a multi-cultural and multi-generational capacity crowd, The Warning rolled through a punchy performance that primarily celebrated Keep Me Fed, with that entire fourth album being played live (albeit not in order) except for the track “Consume.” It was clear from the get-go that The Warning had a dedicated and adoring fan base, as not only did I observe a ton of legacy tour shirts being worn, but the audience sang along with or responded to Dany throughout their entire performance.
This show was actually a reschedule from September 2024, which I found somewhat ironic as at one point mid-show Dany mentioned that she was a little under the weather but wasn’t going to let that get in the way of a night of rock and roll. Given the interest and demand for this tour, I could only imagine the disappointment if The Warning had been stuck rescheduling Atlanta again. However, it does seem that both “Martirio” and “Narcicista” were trimmed from the setlist due to illness.
Not to be overlooked, the band also highlighted four tracks pulled from their third studio album, Error (2022), including powerful renditions of “Choke,” “Money,” “Disciple,” and “Evolve.” Given that this was my first time catching The Warning live, I was mesmerized watching Paulina joyfully pound away at the skins all night while Ale laid down her bass tracks with a sexy swagger adjacent to Dany’s gritty guitar tone. It was nothing short of delightful. The Warning did bookend their set by revisiting Keep Me Fed, wrapping up their sold out night with a single encore song in “Automatic Sun.”
The Warning’s Keep Me Fed World Tour 2025 continues on in the United States for just a few more weeks, wrapping up Wednesday, July 23rd, at The Fillmore Minneapolis in Minnesota.
