This is the second visit for Tom Grennan to Singleton Park the first time here was as support to Welsh legends Stereophonics and now he is headlining his concert. This man has come a long way in a short space of time, only five years ago (taking away the two missed from covid) he was playing in small clubs throughout the UK.
Up first to warm up the crowd is Hana Lili, a Welsh singer from Sully in the Vale Of Glamorgan Hana Lili and her 4 piece band play upbeat indie pop, focusing on lyrical skills and beautiful vocals, and they are starting to make a huge mark in the music world already having supported Coldplay at the Principality Stadium,
Her songs are a diary of her life, heartfelt lyrics and brilliant pop music that keeps everyone moving, while still fixated on the words she’s singing. It’s a perfect blend of passion and music.
Up next is Daði Freyr from Iceland who was due to represent his country in the Eurovision song contest in 2020 but was cancelled due to covid. He then competed for Iceland in 2021 with an impressive 4th finish. His set is flamboyant and everything you would expect to see at Eurovision.
Completely different to both Hana and Tom. He keeps the audience more than entertained and I’m sure it’s something they wouldn’t have seen before. The set continues from the extravagant start right through to the end, with deep vocals, electronic synthesisers, and a lead guitar with electronic hand drums holding down the bass. The sounds created in these songs are quite mesmerising. After a brief joke about the UK giving him poor points in the Eurovision and being a little pissed off he’s reluctant to play “10 Years” the song he sang for Iceland but sings it anyway. Singing his cover of Atomic Kitten’s “Whole Again”, everyone joins in the chorus, bringing his extraordinary set to an end.
The screams start as the crowd catches a glimpse of Tom walking up the rear stage stairs. before he explodes onto the stage giving 100 per cent from the off. Jumping about firing the crowd straight into life with his total commitment to performing to his utmost every single time he takes to the stage. He has them in the palm of his hands, his stage presence is up there with the best in the music world.
Going through his catalogue of hits new and old he comes to the song “Here”, asking for everyone to hold up their phones and turn the torch lights on, the lights flicker across the park, and you can only imagine the view from the stage as night turns to day for a short time.
Bringing forward Petra, one of the backing singers to sing the vocals on ‘Let’s Make Love Together’ before hitting his most popular song “Lion Heart” and the park erupts into dancing and jumping. Not one person is standing still. Tom comes to the front and asks people to throw things onto the stage, t-shirts are thrown on like crazy and it’s amazing as whilst still performing a song he starts signing t-shirts and throwing them back into the audience. It’s easy to see why he has become one of the biggest pop artists in such a small time frame. Not just a voice that is unmatched, and music where every song is unique but he gives back to his fans during his live performances in one way or another they won’t forget.
As he starts saying his goodnights, “Little Bit Of Love” is used to draw the concert to a close. Everyone’s arms are up in the air singing their hearts out not wasting one minute of this night.

I really enjoyed the concert , it was My 2nd time seeing him and I’ll definitely be going to the next one he does. Tom really takes his time to connect with the crowd and generates an amazing atmosphere 😊
