TOVE LO BRINGS DIRT FEMME ERA TO A CLOSE WITH DIRT FEMME (EXTENDED CUT)
+ NEW FOCUS TRACK ‘ELEVATOR EYES’ OUT NOW
Multi-platinum-selling, GRAMMY® nominated artist Tove Lo today brings her Dirt Femme era to a close with a 19-track deluxe version of the album, titled Dirt Femme (Extended Cut). Featuring all 13 original album tracks, plus the recently released single ‘I like u’ and ‘Borderline,’ the extended version of ‘No One Dies From Love,’ remixes by Jacques Greene, Jax Jones and Dorian Electra as well as a brand-new song, ‘Elevator Eyes,’ which serves as the album focus track and arrives with a brand new scene.
With the release of Dirt Femme (Extended Cut), Tove officially brings this chapter to a close, delivering a heartfelt message to her fans, “My independent baby, now complete. My beautiful fans, thank you endlessly for all your love, hype and support in this era. You always show up for me, and this time I’ve felt it more than ever. It means the world to me. I hope you’ve had the time of your lives dancing, crying, fucking and feeling to these songs. That they have provided some relief during hard times and enhanced the good times. I hope they continue to be a part of your lives.”
Speaking about ‘Elevator Eyes,’ she reveals, “The rich and bored LA bitch for the final Dirt Femme scene. Elevator Eyes was one of the first songs written for this era, with one of my fav Kiwis, Joel Little. It’s about summer crushes without a future. I always wanted this song to be part of Dirt Femme, and now it is. I hope you love it.”
The arrival of Dirt Femme (Extended Cut) comes following the release of the official music video for latest single, ‘I like u,’ which was made in collaboration with innovative Tokyo-based anime project, Shinsei Galverse, and features hand-drawn anime artwork and original character design by the video’s director, Japanese storyboard artist Ayaka Ohira. The video was produced by Shinsei Galverse and ARCH Inc, and animated by SoK LLC. Tove is donating a portion of her streaming proceeds from ‘I like u’ to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention org for LGBTQ young people. ABOUT TOVE LO
Tove Lo embodies every side of her own femininity in her music. She can be powerful in one breath and lusty in the next. Her cleverness will turn into introspection just before she makes herself heard again. She fights hard and loves even harder. Tove has always spoken her mind, and it’s why she’s left an ever-expanding imprint on pop. The Sweden-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and artist made waves worldwide with her platinum-certified 2014 full-length debut, Queen of the Clouds, uplifted by the quintuple-platinum “Habits (Stay High)” and double-platinum “Talking Body.” Among numerous collaborations, she joined forces with Nick Jonas for the platinum “Close” and Flume on the gold-certified “Say It” in addition to anthems with Alesso, Coldplay, Martin Garrix, Charli XCX, Sean Paul, ALOK, and Major Lazer, to name a few. In the midst of sold out shows on multiple continents, she served up Lady Wood and Blue Lips (Lady Wood Phase II) before reaching another stratosphere on 2019’s Sunshine Kitty. It landed on year-end lists from the likes of Esquire and Idolator, while Pitchfork proclaimed, “Sunshine Kitty holds some of Tove Lo’s most vulnerable writing; it’s also her clubbiest record.” Meanwhile, she garnered her second GRAMMY® Award nomination with “Glad He’s Gone” in the category of “Best Music Video.” As a songwriter behind-the-scenes, she’s penned music for everyone from Lorde to Zara Larsson in addition to co-writing Ellie Goulding’s quintuple-platinum “Love Me Like You Do” for Fifty Shades of Grey, receiving nominations at the Golden Globe® Awards and the GRAMMY® Awards. Now, Tove realizes a new strength within femininity on her fifth studio album, Dirt Femme, available everywhere via her own Pretty Swede Records.
