WANG CHUNG’s Jack Hues Talks New Solo Work, The Future For Wang Chung, Writing A Book, Touring, More 8/30/2023

Jack Hues is a founding member of new wave pioneers Wang Chung, acting as the band’s singer and guitarist for more than 40 years. With his longtime bandmate Nick Feldman, Wang Chung has sold millions of records around the world and has had great chart success with songs like “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” and “Dance Hall Days”. Jack has also done solo work away from Wang Chung, and he has a brand new single and a video out for a song called “Since 2017,” which examines the subject of UFOs and the acknowledgement of extraterrestrial life.

In this interview, Jack discusses the song “Since 2017” in detail, telling us what inspired the song and his views on the subject. He also talks about an upcoming solo record, Wang Chung’s future plans, the desire to write a book, the possibilities of more touring, and much more!

I cannot even express in words how much I enjoy having Jack on the Dr. Music Podcast. He is always so intelligent, interesting, and thorough, but also one of the sweetest people I have ever spoken with. I hope you enjoy this conversation and Jack’s joyous spirit.
