Once again the Zac Brown Band blew Boston, MA away with an outstanding performance at Fenway Park on August 8, 2021. With a combination of old and new songs, ZBB had the entire crowd singing along. The band’s bassist and Berklee graduate, Matt Mangano shared a photo to his Instagram feed which included himself with 30,000+ of his closest Boston friends. The band sells out Fenway Park nearly every year they headline and currently hold the record for most sold out performances there. It makes perfect sense to freeze frame those incredible life achievements and I fully expect them to continue breaking ticket sales at venues across the country.
Openers, Ashland Craft and Teddy Swims set the precedent for the night with their upbeat sound and laid back style and made for a great addition to The Comeback Tour. By the time Zac Brown took the stage wearing his Red Sox ball cap (Go Sox!) the park was filled to the brim with country fans coming from New England and beyond. And of course, they didn’t forget to salute the red white and blue and honored a marine during their performance of “Chicken Fried” by leading him out to center stage. Needless to say, ZBB is thankful and grateful for their fanbase and always does their best to show that.
Cold beer and good times were the mood for the night, which was perfect for these rowdy country music lovers. From clinking drinks to singing “Sweet Caroline” there wasn’t a single disappointed concert goer. Zac Brown closed out the night with “Chicken Fried” which only had the crowd wanting more. Unfortunately Boston will just have to wait until the next tour to get their ZBB fix but at least we can expect a good time when they return! If you weren’t able to attend this year make sure you check out the photos from their performance which are featured below.
