Out 19th August 2022
Antipodean multi-traking one man noise machine Dez Dare, hanging out in the UK nowadays, lets rip and smacks us right in the third eye with his 2nd full fat release “Ulysses Trash” due out on 19th August and injects a ton of angry, angsty, psycho-delic punk into the mainstream. As a much needed antidote to the predictably obvious, tedious and increasingly mediocre pop pap culture we are afflicted by right now “Ulysses Trash” proves that all is not lost. The world really does need stuff like this. Now more than ever.
Widely lauded by those with an ear for whacked out guitar driven shorts “Ulysses Trash” follows on from last year’s superb debut “Hairline Ego Trip” and takes us back once again to the halciyon days of riff laden, filthy dirty, fuzzed up, super pacy, 4 track DIY cassette white labels giving you a further thirteen crackling nuggets of raw power rooted in the finest psychedelic garage tradition to munch on. Steeped in low fi excesses it ain’t for the faint hearted and best suited to sonic voyeurs searching the ragged edge where you can oft pick up the brightest of gems such as this.
“Ulysses Trash” is brillliantly conceived, shockingly under produced and a worthy testimony to one man’s trip. Over in the blink of an eye in a gloriously extended WTF moment of unbridled chaos “Ulysses Trash” is a triumph and will comprehensibly add more aural colours to your sonic palette. Well worth getting aquainted with and a solid 9/10. Dare you?
