Formed in Manchester in 2019 the 5-piece have earned a reputation for doggedly unorthodox shows rooted in an absolutely DIY punk aesthetic. They stick out like flowers among vegetables – one of the most outlandish live bands around

‘I THREW THE BATHWATER OUT’ flies out at you in a squall of barbarous drums, distorted organ and 60s girl group backing vocals. It’s a jaunty inversion – uncanny, elusive, phantasmic yet fantastic with tongue pressed firmly in cheek; the lyrics wrestle with the paradoxical feelings of haunted liberation following the breakdown of a ruinous relationship

FFO: Violent Femmes, Modern Lovers, Television Personalities, B-52s, Denim, Julian Cope

“The DIY lovechild of Mark E Smith and The Cramps… brilliant” Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

Led by a sweet transvestite singer, the band’s music (and style) is difficult to pigeonhole, lurching brazenly between New Wave, Post Punk, Glam, Art Rock and even Folk. It’s refreshingly unconventional, aptly expressed by their moniker FURROWED BROW – because that’s what happens to your face when you first hear them. Invoking the time-honoured British tradition of dealing with serious issues by mocking them, they battle crippling self-doubt whilst sneering at their self-serving betters
