Enter Shakiri follow up there 2020 Album ‘Nothing Is True Everything Is Possible’ The album has already gained approval from many including Rolling Stone who gave it 4 stars. The band have also had sell out UK and EU shows.

Admitting they hadn’t wrote a single note in the 2 year gap of their previous album. The magic of a festival and energy of people set alight their power to come back with ‘A kiss for a whole world’  which lead singer Roy Reynolds calls ‘an explosion reconnection with what Enter Shakiri is’

The title introduction track immediately holds no bounds giving you that Enter Shakiri shake and showing you what they are here to do. I really felt familiarty with the whole album of what the madness of the last few years had done to us. Opening our eyes and minds in a way we could never have imagined.

‘(Pls) set me on fire’ sets the tempo that gives Enter Shakiri that platform to showcase their unique ability to travel the decades of music. Enter Shakiri, close to celebrating their 20th anniversary show their ability to step into the future while remaining true to the authentic sound that draws their fans in. I have to admit this one stood out on first listen.

The album celebrates connection in humanity amongst times of apprehension in society. Dead Wood’  repeating ‘I wish I could feel the way you feel‘

As an Enter Shakiri fan I was surprised by how underwhelmed I was with this album on first listen. However many of the songs grabbed me on second listen. The geniusly named Giant Pacific Octopus (I don’t know you anymore)’ gave a complete surge of power from the shared energy of fast pace and tempo of the song, leading you into ‘Giant Pacific Octopus swirling off into infity’ s’ these two tracks are almost a 5D experience of fast chaotic exercise followed by a calming shavasna straight after.

This album is an explosion of energy, chaos and understanding. That imagine no doubt will encourage movement and unity when played live.

7/10
