Headlines Across The UK With Friends in November
Having recently been handpicked by her hometown hero’s Snow Patrol to open at their album release show at Belfast’s prestigious Ulster Hall Bea Stewart follow’s her recent EP ‘Sorry I’m So Sensitive’ with the bitter sweet anthem ‘Still My Favourite’.
Written with her friend Akira Kai it’s a song about moving on from a relationship, she explains.
“I wrote ‘Still My Favourite’ with my friend Akira Kai. We had a joint Spotify playlist that I had forgotten about and he text me out of the blue one day saying “I still add songs to our playlist” which immediately jumped out as a cool lyric. We decided to write a song with it and it became ‘Still My Favourite’. This song is about trying everything you can to fall out of love with someone. That can obviously be a very heavy feeling but when you think about drinking too much wine and throwing darts at a picture of them it feels a lot more fun (just like this song). When writing it I wanted to be honest and acknowledge the not being over it part but also celebrate the little steps that take you further and further away from the heartbreak.”
This is her first collaboration with producer Harri Chambers and follows EP’s ‘Sorry I’m So Sensitive’ and ‘Things We Never Say Out Loud’ which saw her pick up support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Ulster, Wonderland, Amazing Radio, Clout, Notion, Earmilk and more. As well as featuring on Spotify & Apple Music coveted New Music Friday & New Music Daily playlists 3 times each amassing over a million streams in the process and selling out headline shows in both London and her hometown of Belfast and supporting Siv Jacobsen, Benjamin Francis Leftwich as well as Snow Patrol and more.
To celebrate the new release Bea will be touring throughout November appearing at Live at Leeds Festival before beginning the Sad Songs Tour alongside Majesty Palm, Bertie Newman and Jodie Nicholson. Full dates below.
