East London’s Boy Bleach are back with a pulsating new single ‘Sun Cream’, out now on Nettwerk.   The band will also return to London on the 21st November for a headline show at The Underworld.

‘Sun Cream’ showcases the band’s tongue-in-cheek wit and flair for writing gritty alt-rock anthems.  Speaking about the single the band say “Sun Cream came about during quite a tumultuous time for the band. We’d just left our label, freshly independent and in a bit of a weird position – we kind of felt like we’d been knocked back a few years and lost our sense of direction, but upon reflection we remembered why we made music in the first place. It wasn’t for it to feel like a job. It felt easier to make the music we loved when we were up all hours of the morning, any spare minute whilst working full time stock jobs – so we strapped back in. Sun Cream is a very personal conversation but the general message is that something ending doesn’t mean it’s over, sometimes you just need a minute to remember what the fuck it’s all about. And people are c*nts innit so wear protection.”

Boy Bleach are an East London born-and-raised alternative group made up of two sets of brothers (Lou & Jimi / James & Nick) and best friend JJ.  A musically eclectic group of council boys, a Portuguese immigrant and cockney-blooded Welsh lads.  Talented musicians in their own right, their Brit-icised alt-rock/punk sound is as diverse as their musical heroes – everything from Depeche Mode, Garbage, Blur, The Clash and Pistols to Kano and Gorillaz.
