Announce London show at Lexington on 16 April – tickets here

Perform live at Eurosonic ESNS Festival (NL) this Friday 17 January

ce, Clutter, today release an official music video for their debut 7” single, “Jesus”, out now via PNKSLM Recordings. Watch HERE

Showcasing the unrelenting, cacophonous sound that echoes the band’s own name, “Jesus” finds singer and guitarist Emma French taking lead vocals, fusing existential lyrical ideas with grungy, post hardcore-nodding guitars.

Speaking of the new single, Clutter said: “Jesus is an indie rock song about everything and nothing and the things in between“.

The Jesus music video has a classic setup, a band in a white studio, and since it’s our first video we thought that formula would work well as an introduction to the band. Because of our limited budget and low quality camera, we wanted to lean into the sleazy, early 2000s feeling. Majken Bergman shot the entire thing in a day, following our idea, then edited the footage and sent it to Henry Ander. Henry added the final touches, the animations, which we wanted a sort of comic book feel to. It’s a fun video and we all had fun working on it, hopefully that’s obvious when you’re watching it.

A Swedish quartet made up of 20 year-olds Hilda AnderEmma FrenchOve Jerndal, and Ville ScottClutter channel the spirit of grunge and post-hardcore through distorted guitars and fuzzy vocals, blending the tones of 90s rock into their post-modern indie core. A band that comes close to chaos but just holds on, Clutter’s electricity is built around their own crackling potential.

Following their debut London show at Shacklewell Arms last year, Clutter will be bringing their amplified selves to Eurosonic ESNS Festival this Friday 17th January (playing WEnutbutter from 21:00-21:40). The four-piece has also just announced a London headline date at Lexington on 16 April (tickets here), building a solid live show from their roots of playing DIY gigs in their youth centre in Stockholm.
