Emerging singer-songwriter Connie Campsie has unveiled her beautiful, deeply personal new single ‘Uneasy’

Crafting emotive, understated songs that speak directly to your soul, Campsie has fast proved herself as one of the capital’s most fascinating songwriters with her two most recent singles – ‘Sucker’ and ‘It’s My Birthday’. Now she delves even deeper into her sound and mindset with ‘Uneasy’, a remarkably raw and cathartic cut that deals with anxiety and the uncertainty of mental health.

Exploring the song’s inception, Connie explains: “I had a panic attack on the bus, seemingly out of nowhere. Next thing I know I’m jumping off the bus half an hour before my stop and unsuccessfully running the rest of the way in doc martens to try shaking off the adrenaline. ‘Uneasy’ is about that panic attack, but it’s also just me being like “fuck, this anxiety narrative is so tiring and boring and repetitive”. I’ve had panic attacks since I was really young, and I usually try to be kind to myself when it comes to my mental health, but sometimes it’s just really annoying and impractical. Something I simultaneously love and hate about myself is how soft I am, and in this case I was just done with feeling so delicate.”

‘Uneasy’ is the latest single to be taken from Connie Campsie’s debut EP ‘I’m Still Talking To Myself’ which will be released on 7th February 2023.

Over the past 12 months, London-based singer-songwriter Connie Campsie’s newest musical project has been slowly bubbling under the surface. With the release of previous singles ‘You’re The Problem’ and ‘Watching From The Beach’ she has built up an impressive listenership and plenty of live appearances in the capital followed, captivating crowds with each and every set. Now back with ‘Sucker’, the product of some very fruitful studio sessions with friend and collaborator Oscar Lang, the track marks a significant milestone in her blossoming career.

Never one to shy away from truth-telling, Connie reveals her songwriting acumen with incredibly intimate and often self-deprecating lyrics. Combine these with beautiful melodies and a large pinch of dry wit and you have the core of Connie Campsie.

‘Uneasy’ is available to stream now. Connie Campsie’s debut EP, ‘I’m Still Talking To Myself’ is released on 7th February 2023.
