The month of April 2021, came to a large crescendo at The Alley in Sanford, Florida on Bike Night, Thursday April 29, 2021. DBS made it’s public debut to the delight of all in attendance playing rock-n-roll and blues covers. The band DBS, is Paul Drennan, Kevin Barrett, and Joe Stump, a cover band that brings 70’s and 80’s old favorites with a totally rocking presentation. They may even slip in a 1990’s hit as well.
Drennan and Barrett are in another local band, Three Forks Road that have played in the Orlando area for years. Drennan plays lead guitar in that project but in DBS he is back on bass. Drennan is an accomplished guitar player but is equally efficient on the bass guitar as his roles in the bands, Lynch Mob and Blandini can attest. Barrett is a great drummer as his ability to drive DBS and keep the train on the tracks the entire show. This night was my first introduction to vocalist and lead guitarist Joe Stump. Stump is an Orlando resident and has been playing in St. Augustine the past two years, hence why I haven’t been introduced. He was engaging, funny, and man can he play guitar! All Music Magazine will definitely be watching for this bands future performances as the show was a extremely fun and a highly entertaining event.
