8TH – MARGATE, WINTER GARDENS
9TH – SCARBOROUGH, SPA GRAND HALL
After selling 65,000 tickets for last autumn’s headline tour which saw them fill arena-sized venues including selling out London’s Alexandra Palace, DMA’S today reveal details of their first UK headline shows of 2022. The two ‘Live At The Seaside’ shows provide fans with the perfect opportunity for a summer escape as DMA’S take their euphoric anthems to Margate’s Winter Gardens (July 8th) and Scarborough’s Spa Grand Hall (July 9th).
Tickets for both shows go general sale HERE from 10am this Friday, February 25th.
The ‘Live At The Seaside’ shows add to the band’s burgeoning summer schedule. They’ve already secured prime billing at festivals including TRSNMT (with Lewis Capaldi and Wolf Alice), the Neighbourhood Weekender (with Courteneers) and the inaugural Neck of the Woods (with The Kooks). They’re also set to hit Newcastle’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus as very special guests to The Libertines’ ‘Up The Bracket’ 20th anniversary show.
DMA’S released their alt-pop-tinged third album ‘THE GLOW’ in 2020. Not only did it achieve the highest chart positions of their career to date (#4 in the UK, #2 in Australia), but it went on to triumph at the 2021 Australian Independent Records Awards, winning Album of the Year, Rock Album of the Year and Best Dance Single (for The Avalanches’ remix of ‘Criminal’).
2021 then saw the band surprise fans with the brand new EP ‘I Love You Unconditionally, Sure Am Going To Miss You’. A short, sharp joyride of a record, ‘I Love You…’ demonstrated that a pure love of rock music still powers the band’s beating heart.
