FOLLOWING LAST NIGHT’S SOLD OUT HEADLINE SHOW AT SEBRIGHT ARMS IN LONDON
Emerging London-based quartet Terra Twin have shared their beguiling new single ‘Head Leaking’
Pressing pause on the moody art rock sensibilities of their last single, ‘Head Leaking’ glistens with a jovial and upbeat sound as the track’s breezy Americana roots begin to flourish – even though when you dig a little deeper the song’s lyrics reveal a more sinister undertone…
Explaining the new single in more detail, vocalist Maxim Baldry says, “It’s the first time we went to the studio to record a song, so these tracks sound fuller and held down with a heavy drum sound. ‘Head Leaking’ is about getting ruined by someone and feeling the anguish and toxicity that comes with it.”
Today’s new track follows on from previous single ‘Nightshift’, which saw support from Rolling Stone UK, The Independent, When The Horn Blows and many more, and positions Terra Twin as one of the most compelling bands coming out of the capital right now.
Last night the band sold out their headline show at London’s Sebright Arms (following suit from their debut London headline at Servant Jazz Quarters earlier this year) and made a triumphant appearance at The Alternative Escape in Brighton at the beginning of Summer.
Initially starting out as a bedroom project in 2020 when vocalist Maxim was living in New Zealand, Terra Twin came into fruition at the end of 2021 after friends and fellow musicians heard what he had been writing. Now joined by Lewis Spear (electric guitar), Jonny Thwaites (bass) and Alex Wadstein (drums) the quartet have played a handful of shows around the capital, showcasing their cinematic art rock offerings, and last year released single ‘I’m Coming Up (Again)’ which was praised by NME.
Terra Twin are:
Maxim Baldry – Vocals/acoustic guitar
Lewis Spear – Electric guitar
Jonny Thwaites – Bass
Alex Wadstein – Drums
