Bryan Bassett got his first big break with Wild Cherry and their superhit, 1976’s “Play That Funky Music” off their self-titled debut record. Since then, he has gone on to play in bands like Molly Hatchet, Lonesome Dave’s Foghat as well as joining the blues rock band, Foghat in 1999 where he has been ever since and is now celebrating his 25th anniversary with the band.
Bassett joins Mike Singer from his home in Central Florida. Bassett talks about Foghat’s newest record, Sonic Mojo, how the band comes up with ideas while on the road, getting his start in Wild Cherry as well as The Beatles and Rolling Stones.

My love for live music started with my first concert ever, Guns N’ Roses back in 2016. Since then, I’ve been able to capture photos of some amazing artists like Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Ace Frehley, and Post Malone. I am based in New York/New Jersey and go to school in Connecticut majoring in Journalism and I am always looking for the next concert to attend.
