Forrest Richard Betts was one of the founding members of The Allman Brothers Band.
The Allman Brothers Band wrote the script on dueling lead guitars with Duane Allman and Dickey Betts of this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band.
Betts died on April 18, 2024, at the age of 80, from cancer and COPD.
Leaving Drummers, Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson as the only surviving members of the original lineup.
