GOLDIE RETURNZ

A COLLECTION OF UK LIVE DATES WITH FULL LIVE BAND ANNOUNCED

FILM WITH RESIDENT ADVISOR RELEASED

Drum’n’bass pioneer GOLDIE today announces his explosive live show with dates this summer and beyond. The widely revered musical legend – who is about to release the remix edition of his genre-defining album ‘Timeless’ – is preparing for a series of must-see festival gigs and headline club dates, ticket information below. Alongside this announcement, a live performance film is released today via Resident Advisor

The tour travels across the UK and will culminate with special shows to celebrate three decades of Goldie’s iconic Metalheadz label – with a one-off London performance to be announced later this summer. It also sees Goldie return to the unique two-drummer line-up that helped bring the ‘Timeless’ album to life with the Heritage Orchestra at his landmark Royal Festival Hall shows nearly a decade ago.

As well as drummers Adam Betts and John Blease, the line-up includes James Davidson – Goldie’s collaborator on last year’s acclaimed Subjective album ‘The Start Of No Regret’ – and musical director/multi-instrumentalist Matt Calvert, who has worked with Goldie since the Royal Festival Hall gigs. Platinum-voiced star Natalie Williams and bass synthesist Dan Nicholls complete the line-up.

“I feel like these musicians were born to play my music,” says Goldie. “They get the heart and soul of it, the raw, street vibes and the super-accelerated technological alchemy of it. There’s no doubt in my mind, these are going to be the most incredible shows we’ve ever done.”

To commemorate the live shows, Resident Advisor have put together a live film of Goldie and full band, performing select tracks from his back catalogue including ‘Saint Angel’ and ‘Inner City Life’ from ‘Timeless’ and the emotionally charged Goldie vs. Ulterior Motive hit ’I Adore You’, taken from 2017’s ‘The Journey Man’ album.

Goldie’s most recent live outings, which included a series of intimate gigs at London’s Ronnie Scott last autumn, were among the most sought-after tickets on the club calendar; and as part of this summer’s live tour, Goldie will be returning to Ronnie Scott’s for two consecutive nights at the end of August. Fans still recall with reverence his shows there in 2017 when an incendiary live version of the Rufige Kru classic ‘Beachdrifta’ shapeshifted the legendary jazz venue into a classic old-skool rave.

“It was unforgettable,” grins Goldie. “And we’re aiming to go one better this time. It’ll be a harder, more club-oriented show this time around. We’re plugging directly into the heart of the rave, into the heart of drum’n’bass. Flick the switch and head to the stars – it’s going to go off.”

Expect more live shows and big announcements from Goldie later this year.
