LA-based pop trailblazer Grace Gaustad has shared their new single and video ‘Nothing To Me’ today – the eighth track to be released from their multimedia concept album PILLBX: whts ur fantasy? which will culminate this summer in an epic cinematic film
‘Nothing To Me’ is a moody electro pop revenge anthem, with pulsating dance floor ready synths and infectious lyricism that cement Grace’s artistry as a true modern pop visionary. Speaking about the track they say “Everyone loves a revenge anthem and that is the theme of ‘Nothing To Me.’ Sometimes there is a blessing in disguise in betrayal and hurt, and ‘Nothing To Me’ represents regaining your confidence and identity after a heartbreak or traumatising experience. Sometimes in the face of hardship we discover parts of ourselves and find a strength we never knew existed.”
Following up their 2021 debut album BLKBX: wht r u hding?, PILLBX: whts ur fantasy? is a 13 track linear continuation of Gaustad’s journey through young adulthood, exposing the collective mental anguish young adults feel today and the multiple different realities our lives could take if history had been different.
PILLBX: whts ur fantasy? features a curated list of floor banging dance tracks, pop anthems destined to be classics, and hauntingly devastating ballads that are sure to be timeless favourites. Each track from the multimedia concept album is being released like an episodic mini-series with an all star cast featuring the likes of actress and transgender rights activist Dylan Mulvaney, and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Mariska Hargitay.
