IN IT TOGETHER FESTIVAL – SUNDAY – 24TH – 26TH MAY 2024 – MARGAM, SOUTH WALES – UK

The last day of In It Together presents a different scene as people walk in. Following a night of heavy rain, the fields are quite muddy. However, it doesn’t seem to hinder anyone’s fun. Walking down to the stage, it feels like we’re in the Mediterranean, with festival-goers wearing regular attire and embracing the mud as an accessory. Some are even walking barefoot through the mud.

Kicking off the last day, the 90s sensation Blue takes the stage. With a string of hits, they have more than enough songs to fill their hour-long set. The crowd enthusiastically calls for an encore, and it seems like they could go on all night to everyone’s delight.

Next up is Swansea band Who’s Molly, a three-piece alternative rock/indie rock band. Their upbeat music keeps the crowd engaged, despite the tough act to follow. Their music and style resemble a young Stereophonics sound, possibly making them Wales’s next big band.

Callum Beattie follows, delivering an entertaining performance with his acoustic guitar. The Scottish musician captivates the crowd effortlessly, leaving his mark at In It Together. His song “25 Seconds” receives a great response from the audience.

Then, the mystery guest, Heather Small, takes the stage. A throwback to the 90s, the former M People singer performs their hits such as “Search for the Hero” and “Moving on Up”.

The full orchestra of Symphonic Ibiza takes the stage next, drawing a large crowd to the main stage area. Playing classic Ibiza dance tunes through a full orchestra, the music fills the air, amplified by the frontman in a golden coat, which was a step up from his silver coat from last year. As they bid farewell, some in the audience voice their disappointment that their set has to end.

Following them, Sister Sledge delivers a charismatic performance, taking the audience back in time with their hits. During their song “Greatest Dancer,” they invite a spirited dancer from the crowd to join them on stage, creating a memorable moment.

Cat Burn and her band follow with a mellow rock-style performance, including her newest single “End Game” and a cover of “Teenage Dirtbag”. They end their set with a popular song that the crowd joyfully sings along to, “Go”.

Cian Ducrot, a crowd favorite, takes the stage next with his powerful Irish voice. He charms the audience with a vocal-focused set, and a heartwarming moment occurs when he personally thanks two young fans for their support.

As the night progresses, the DJ kicks off the beat and Dizzee Rascal, the headliner, takes the main stage. His rap mixed with dance-style music energizes the crowd, taking everyone through a series of his hits. The audience enjoys a new song “Filthy Bass Line” as an exclusive. Dizzee Rascal concludes his set with “Bonkers”.

The festival draws to a close with hardly anyone leaving early, and it’s already selling out for 2025.
