Saturday October 14, 2023 was the day to experience local clubs, and the journey started in Sanford, Florida with the energetic bass playing fireplug, Jamine Cain. With the celebration of Bike Week in March in nearby Daytona Beach, and then a second dose in October for Octoberfest, bands and artists come to perform in Central Florida. Another band that is always involved in this bi-yearly celebration is Torn, a band out of Ocala, Florida.
The Alley in Sanford is always a great show as the venue has great lighting in an intimate setting. Add, Jasmine Cain on the stage and you have a dynamite show as she is just a whirlwind on the bass guitar and her performances demand all eyes on Jasmine. Playing assorted covers and originals, Jasmine, Taylor, and PK go full speed until the lights go out, with Kevin Bebout the sound engineer making them sound fantastic. Weather it’s Bike Week or Biketoberfest, get out and support this fun band that resides in Nashville, Tennessee so they keep coming south to entertain us.
Band:
Jasmine Cain – Vocals/Bass
Taylor McKee – Guitar/Vocals
Philip Kelly “PK” – Drums

Stopping in at The Shovelhead Lounge in Longwood, Florida later in the night to see old friends and very pro All Music Magazine supporters, the boys from Ocala, Torn. The Shovelhead Lounge is under new ownership and All Music Magazine had to check it out. The previous club was very dark, smelled of smoke, had a small stage, and the stage lighting wasn’t adequate to photograph bands. The changes were great, and it was the perfect night to be welcomed by the band on stage. Torn always brings it regardless of the size of stage or venue. Eddie Sweeney, Pete Davitto, Troy Parrish, and the newest member, bass player Scott Bennett always rock out and by the smiles on their faces, they are having the time of their lives. The energy just radiates from the stage and every one in attendance can’t help but have a great time.
Check this band out when they trek South to Central Florida, you won’t be sorry, and you will have a great show!
