London based Joe Unknown is poised to make his mark on 2022 and beyond. With a freshly inked deal with the much talked about Darco Recordings and a brand new single entitled ‘Silent’, out today, this is only the start of an upwardly mobile year for the young artist.
‘Silent’ is a gushing, assault on the senses. Speaking of the track Joe says “I can’t really describe it, I feel like if u get it you get it, if you don’t that’s ok… you’re probably good in the company of silence”
Musically Joe Unknown draws influences from the best of British; punk and hip-hop mixed with a spit of rhymes and on the nose lyrics that chronicle both sides to the day-to-day reality of life in Britain, through his eyes. There’s the relatable side everyone can connect to vs the honest side people don’t want to admit. His eclectic mix of influences and diverse sound sees him sit comfortably alongside his British peers such Kae Tempest and Idles as well as global artists like Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky
2022 is set to be a busy year with Joe confirmed to play a series of festivals including Sundown, 2000trees and Latitude. ‘Silent’ is the first track to be released from an upcoming project out later in the year.
