Thursday 23rd February, London 8pm GMT: Record-breaking rap duo Krept & Konan have released the official remix for their latest single ‘Dat Way’ with accompanying music video today.
Enlisting some of the biggest artists from the UK, US and Jamaica; the ‘Dat Way Remix’ features Abra Cadabra, Beenie Man, Backroad Gee, French Montana, Clavish, Pa Salieu, K Trap, Bandokay, Double Lz and DoRoad alongside Krept & Konan. As the all-star line-up suggests the remix is full of different styles with each of the 12 artists delivering their own distinctive verse and marking the very first time Beenie Man has appeared on a Drill track.
The accompanying music video is directed by DON Productions and features appearances from all the artists on the remix. A mirror reflection of the original ‘Dat Way’ video it was filmed across London with French Montana’s appearance shot in New York.
Day Way ft. Abra Cadabra, released on January 19th, has already garnered nearly 4 million views and serves as a Part II to Abra Cadabra’s ‘Robbery Remix’ which Krept & Konan featured on in 2016 and accumulated over 28 million views. An emphatic return to Krept & Konan’s Road Rap roots it is the first official release on their own independent label, Play Dirty, since their debut long player, the Young Kingz mixtape which shot into the top 20 of the Official UK album charts, earning them a Guinness World Record for the Highest-Charting UK album by an Unsigned Act.
