CRAZY P
(LIVE), NORMAN JAY MBE,
LONDON AFRICAN GOSPEL CHOIR,
& MORE HEADED TO BROCKWELL PARK ON BANK HOLIDAY
THURSDAY 2ND JUNE

This all-ages event marks the start of the long Jubilee bank holiday weekend! In what will be their only London show this summer, the legendary Madness will be headlining the event along with an array of incredible live acts and DJs across three stages. Attendees will also be able to take full advantage of a Mini Mad Family Area, as well as a tasty selection of street food and bars, making this the perfect way to celebrate your big day off!

At the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, Madness performed ‘Our House’ on top of Buckingham Palace and this time they will be turning Brockwell Park into a big ‘House Of Fun’. With 31 chart hits under their belts, Madness are one of the UK’s favourite bands. Now, the quintessentially North London six will be coming down South, armed with ammo like ‘Baggy Trousers’‘My Girl’‘Lovestruck’‘Embarrassment’, and ‘Wings Of A Dove’, as well as their covers of ‘It Must Be Love’ and ‘One Step Beyond’. With summer 2022 marking 30 years since the band reformed at their 1992 event, Madstock, Madness’ headline set at Brockwell Park will be a day of anniversaries and Jubilees, so it’s time to raise a drink for a big ‘Day On The Town’.

Also set to perform are renowned Britpop icons Supergrass, who having reformed in 2019 are now set to make their debut return to festivals when they take to the stage at Jubilation this summer. Expect to hear fan favourites ‘Alright’‘Pumping On Your Stereo’, and ‘Moving’!

Joining them are the London African Gospel Choir who will present The Bob Marley Songbook, British music icon and frontman of The Streets Mike Skinner who is due to play a DJ set, London’s own Norman Jay MBE, and electronic group Crazy P (live) who are influenced by everything from funk to soul, house, and disco, and who have been building a storied career for over two decades.

Completing today’s music announcement are the Barbados-born reggae multi-instrumentalist Dennis Bovell, 7-piece electronic/hip-hop band Dub Pistols, and the multi-genre Bristol-based rising star Eva Lazarus. More names are set to be announced for Jubilation in the coming months!

Also announced today is the line-up for the Mini Mad Family Area, which makes Jubilation a must-attend event for the whole family. Heading to Brockwell Park this June are Big Fish Little Fish events, Guilty Pleasures, and 10-piece brass band Old Dirty Brasstards.

If that wasn’t enough, Jubilation will also welcome 30+ food traders and London Brewers Market, making the one-day bank holiday event an all-around summer party!
