MADZILLA’S NEW SINGLE & VIDEO, “YOUR NEMESIS”, IS SURE TO SMASH YOUR SENSES
July 16, 2022, Las Vegas Nevada – Las Vegas metal band, Madzilla, has been busy plotting their next diabolical assault on the music world and it’s finally here. On August 5th “Your Nemesis” will hit, and it will hit hard. I got the opportunity to check out the new song and video and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. The first minute or so is strictly instrumental. Heavy on drums and paired with some blazing riffs and a thunderous bass, I would liken it to a long wick blazing its way toward a powder keg. Lead vocalist David Cabezas’ gritty, yet haunting, vocals are a beacon for this song’s ominous intent. The dynamic climax comes around the 4:30 mark and is highlighted by a blistering guitar solo.
The corresponding video is a combination of animation and live action. The animation is the creation of Gustavo Arguello from Bobui Studios and if his work looks familiar it could be because he also worked on the band’s “Reign” video from last year. “Your Nemesis” features some sinister and unsavory characters that have found themselves on the seedy side of town. Add in a stealthily stalking Madzilla and you have yourself the makings of a pretty cool story. The live action was handled by Lagenciap who has worked on most, if not all, of Madzilla’s previous videos. The band can be seen playing in some dimly lit locations that are in direct relation to the ambience of the animation. If you haven’t seen the video yet, just give it a click below and prepare to face “Your Nemesis.”
Madzilla was conceived in 2018 and is the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist David Cabezas. The band prides itself on delivering a blend of melodic, old school thrash metal. Some of their influences include Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Metallica. It’s hard to go wrong when your inspiration is derived from bands like those. Madzilla is a band that loves to perform live and have been grinding it out on the road with numerous metal icons including Soulfly, Sabaton, Judas Priest and most recently The Veer Union.
David Cabezas: Lead Vocals, Guitar

I’ve had a love for photography since I was young. Whether it was a Polaroid or a Kodak 110, I was always the kid with the camera. My love of music goes back even further. Nothing beats being at a show when those lights go down and the crowd goes nuts.
