Australian-born G Flip has announced their return to the UK for the Autumn! They will kick off their headline tour at Brighton’s Chalk on 2nd September, then head to London where they will play Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 3rd September, and will then make their way around cities including Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and then wrap things up at Glasgow’s SWG3 Warehouse, on 8th September. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 31st January at 10am, here.
Ahead of this, G will be taking their ‘DRUMMER Tour’ stateside in May, headlining venues in cities including San Diego, Austin, Orlando, Nashville and many more. See full dates here.
G has expressed their excitement around the announcement and said, “I’ve had the best time in the UK this week so I’m COMING BACK!! Thank you for all the support you’ve given me on the other side of the world. It surprised the shit outta me! You’re all so lovely. I’m going to come back as much as I can, starting with this tour! G Flip last week revealed their own take on Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer, for Australian radio station Triple J’s coveted ‘Like A Version’ segment. The track, which has already racked up 1+ million combined streams, has had the seal of approval by Taylor herself, as well as Demi Lovato, Halsey and more. Last Summer saw the non-binary artist release their second album, DRUMMER, an ode to their love for the drums and what sparked their love for music in the first place. The 12-track body of work features singles including Be Your Man which has racked up 7+ million streams on Spotify alone, The Worst Person Alive, Australia and Good Enough, which landed G an ARIA Award for Best Video, last year. G Flip also won Best Australian Live Act at the same awards, where they were nominated for a whopping 6 awards!
