NAOMI BANKS RETURNS WITH FIRST NEW MUSIC OF 2022 STREAM ‘I DON’T KNOW’ TODAY LONDON HEADLINE SHOW ANNOUNCED 21ST APRIL @ THE SOCIAL – TICKETS HERE

Rising alt pop artist Naomi Banks unveils her first release of the year today, a fearless and resolute statement marking a bold return for 2022. Listen to ‘I Don’t Know‘

Following on from her well received debut mixtape in 2021, Naomi is on a path of re-invention. Looking inwards to discover her most natural and uncompromising style, ‘I Don’t Know’ lays everything bare with her heartfelt and yearning vocals encompassed by subtly pulsating synths and laid back drums.

Explaining why this is such a profound release for her, Banks explains… “I wrote this song a few months ago and took the decision to really produce the sound they way I wanted it, alongside co-producer Rich Rayner. With less outside influence on what direction I should take it, I found myself starting to explore a new, darker sound for my music, it’s exciting and raw and ultimately feels more truthful to who I am. I loved every second making this song.”

Celebrating the return, Naomi Banks has announced her next London headline show, taking place at The Social on 21st April. Surrounded by her accomplished band the stage is where it comes to life for Naomi Banks, as a space to showcase her unbelievable multi-instrumental talents and natural charisma. Tickets for the social are on sale here and selling fast.

About Naomi Banks

An artist with boundless depth and fearless devotion, Naomi Banks is a vibrant new talent defined only by her lust for creative freedom.

The UK vocalist and songwriter emerged in 2019, after a number of appearances on stage singing for the likes of Laura Mvula and Lianne La Havas, and collaborating on a studio project with Keane. Inspired early on by studying everything from Jazz, electronica, R&B and soul, her career so far is less defined by any one genre as she firmly finds her lane in the alt pop arena.

Naomi found early success with debut single ‘Enough’, going straight onto the playlist at BBC Radio 1, and now counts Clara AmfoRicky Melvin & Charlie and Jack Saunders among her key supporters. Since then she’s earned praise for her impressive vocal range and rich musical pallet from the likes of gal-dem, Complex, Wonderland, Reprezent, BBC Radio 1Xtra, Notion, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Gay Times and The Independent.
